are all set to headline at Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 11, 2008) – Mohegan Sun heats up as the weather cools down with some of the best entertainment headed into the Arena, Cabaret Theatre and Wolf Den.  Don’t miss your chance to see some of your favorite performers this holiday season at Mohegan Sun.

Christmas comes early on Friday, December 19th, when Kenny Rogers rolls into the Arena with his “Christmas & Hits Tour.”  This show is a must for anyone wanting to see this Country music icon perform some of his most memorable hits as well as some holiday favorites.  Roger’s latest album Water & Bridges has won “Album of the Year” at the CMT Music Awards, and he is also the well-deserved recipient of The Country Radio Broadcasters’ “Career Achievement Award.”  The show starts at 8:00pm on December 19th; tickets are $35.00 and are on sale now.

The holiday spirit stays alive in The Cabaret Theatre when Wayne, Jay and Merrill Osmond take the stage for The Osmond Brothers Christmas Show live Friday, December 19th through Sunday, December 21st. Friday and Saturday’s shows begin at 8:00pm and Sunday’s show begins at 7:00pm.  Tickets for the show are $50.00 and are on sale now.

Also scheduled to entertain in the beautiful Cabaret Theatre is none other than icon of the stage and screen, actor, singer, dancer and Broadway legend Ben Vereen.   Performances are on Friday, December 26th and Saturday, December 27th. Both shows begin at 8:00pm and are $40.00.

Kathleen Madigan will be performing in The Cabaret Theatre for a special two- show performance on New Year’s Eve.  Tickets for the 8:00pm performance are $40.00 and tickets for the 11:00pm show are $75.00.  The 11:00pm performance will include party favors and a champagne toast to help celebrate ringing in the New Year.  If comedy isn’t your thing and the classic hits of the 70s and 80s are, then plan on having a ball with legendary Rock group Daryl Hall & John Oates when they perform in the Arena the same night for an exciting New Year’s Eve concert at 8:00pm.

Feel the rhythms and dance in the New Year when Mohegan Sun Wolf Den mainstays Boogie Wonder Band bring their Soul Funk grooves to the free music venue on New Year’s Eve.  The fun is scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm followed by another performance at 11:00pm.

Brothers Damien and Tourie Escobar make up the sensational music duo known as Nuttin’ But Stringz.  Their amazing and inspirational violin playing that blends Classical music, Jazz, R&B and Hip Hop helped land them a second place finish on the popular NBC series America’s Got Talent.  The teenage brothers who studied at the Julliard School of Music have brought their infectious and vibrant sound to the likes of The Apollo Theater, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen Degeneres Show and on January 1st plan to resonate the Wolf Den with a thrilling performance beginning at 8:00pm.
