The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he’s a regular visitor to the casino. “[I] always come here. I like everything about Mohegan Sun.”

When asked what drew him to the winning machine, the MegaJackpot® winner reported being familiar with this particular machine, having played it in the past. “I like the spin button” he said. Mohegan Sun welcomes the longest-running theatrical release in film history, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, to The Cabaret Theatre. On Saturday, October 31st, guests can dress up and enjoy the ageless classic at Midnight, doors will open at 11:00pm.

Distributed by 20th Century Fox, The Rocky Horror Picture Show debuted on August 14, 1975 starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick among others. November Poker Tournament features a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool from November 14th – 22nd

Mohegan Sun’s $500,000 Guaranteed Fall Showdown will offer reasonable buy-ins, excellent structures and rewarding guarantees. This economically-friendly nine-day event will offer one of the top poker prize pools in New England. The action kicks off with a three-day $200,000 Guaranteed No-Limit Hold ‘Em tournament on November 14th.

SUN WINEFEST, New England’s most spectacular wine and food event, returns to Mohegan Sun Saturday, January 30th and Sunday, January 31, 2010. 

The weekend’s main event is the Grand Tasting, which will be held in the Convention Center from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday, January 30th and Sunday, January 31st.  Sample more than 1,000 fine wines provided by international wineries and specialty beers from breweries and beer companies from around the world.  Exhibitors showcasing related services such as wine storage, culinary accessories and specialty foods will also be featured.  Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, hear commentary from the winemakers and experts, and enjoy delicacies from some of the region’s finest restaurants by purchasing tasting portions of signature dishes at a nominal rate.

Become seriously spooked this October as Mohegan Sun announces its Nautical Nightmares package, a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience.

Package includes an overnight stay at Mohegan Sun and two tickets to Nautical Nightmares: Blood of the Mutineers at Mystic Seaport.
