Four years ago Celtic Woman traveled from Ireland to America and captivated millions with their inspiring songs of hope and love.   Their incredible journey to stardom has been like a dream come true for vocalists Chloe, Lisa, Orla, Lynn, Alex and Celtic violinist Mairead.  The 2009 “Isle of Hope” tour will dazzle the eye, enchant the ear and stimulate both the mind and the heart.  Fans have the opportunity to experience Celtic Woman’s most magical production yet, featuring brand-new renditions of “Fields of Gold” and “Have I Told You Lately” as well as an original anthem by Brendan Graham, writer of “You Raise Me Up.”  Musical Director David Downes has composed stunning new music for the 19- member ensemble featuring the wonderful voices of Celtic Woman and the energetic musical inventiveness of Celtic violinist, Mairead.  The show will also feature cornerstone favorites such as “The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun,” “Danny Boy” and “Spanish Lady,” among others.

Nickelback Returns to Mohegan Sun

Multi-platinum selling rockers Nickelback are hitting the road in 2009 and will be making a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, March 8th at 7:00pm with special guests Seether and Saving Abel.

Dark Horse, Nickelback’s sixth studio album, hit the streets last month and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous release, 2005′s All the Right Reasons, topped the US album chart, spent 112 consecutive weeks in the Top 30 and has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide.  Their latest single, “Gotta Be Somebody,” has been making waves across a number of radio formats, including Pop, Modern Rock, Mainstream Rock and Adult.

South-African Rock band Seether is touring in support of their latest studio effort, 2007’s Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces.  The album, which follows 2005′s gold-certified Karma and Effect, reached #9 on the Billboard 200. The band also released a live, acoustic set, One Cold Night, in 2006.

Saving Abel just released their self-titled, major label debut album in March. The album features the single “Addicted” which peaked at #2 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. As of November 2008, Saving Abel’s self-titled album has sold over 222,858 copies and peaked at #53 on the Billboard 200.

Toby Keith’s Biggest and Baddest Tour Rocks Mohegan Sun

Country music superstar Toby Keith is back on the road in 2009, bringing his Southern Rock and Blues flare to the stage at Mohegan Sun Arena with special guest Jason Aldean on Friday, January 23rd at 8:00pm.

Keith followed his “Biggest & Baddest” summer tour with the October release of his fourteenth studio effort, which is his seventh to shoot to #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.  He produced and wrote or co-wrote every song on That Don’t Make Me A Bad Guy, which has spawned the #1 Country single “She Never Cried in Front of Me” and the rising hit “God Love Her.”   His new set follows last year’s Big Dog Daddy, which includes the fastest-rising single of Keith’s career, “High Maintenance Woman” as well as the hits “Love Me If You Can” and “Get My Drink On.” In May, the entertainer topped the Country charts once again with Toby Keith’s 35 Biggest Hits.
