Dine At Mohegan Sun For New Year’s Eve & Day

Dining Specials-New Year’s Eve

Sunburst Buffet will serve a wide range of meals including a Steak Giambotta or Shrimp & Pesto Fettuccine.  Seasons Buffet will feature Roasted Turkey Breast, a Slow-Roasted Garlic & Shallot Crusted Prime Rib as well as an Herb-Roasted Pork Loin.  Desserts selections include Hot Caramel Apples, Bread Pudding and Fruit Cobbler.  Sunburst Buffet will be open from 11:00am – 12:00am and Seasons Buffet will be serving breakfast from 7:30am – 11:00am followed by lunch and dinner selections through 12:00am.    

Todd English’s Tuscany will offer a Chef’s Tasting Menu that starts out with Tuna Tartare; Crispy Rock Shrimp, Cucumber Salad with Sesame Dressing followed by Tuscan Misto (Surf & Turf) that features a 6-ounce Filet alongside a Butter-Poached Lobster and a side of Roquefort Mashed Potatoes topped with Celeriac Remoulade.  For dessert is a Signature Fallen Chocolate Cake with Tahitian Vanilla Gelato and Raspberry Purée.  This meal is offered at $47.00 per person.  Dinner will be served from 11:30am – 12:00am.

Birches Bar & Grill will serve a three-course meal special for New Year’s Eve that starts with a choice of Soup or Salad followed by Prime Rib Steak with Green Beans Provencal and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes or Baked Stuffed Shrimp with Asparagus, Rice Pilaf and Lemon Beurre Blanc.  This meal is offered at $39.95.  Birches Bar & Grill hours of operation will be from 11:30am – 3:30am on New Year’s Eve.  

Pompeii &Caesar, The Longhouse, Bamboo Forest and The Cove will all be closed for New Year’s Eve for a private event.

Dining Specials-New Year’s Day

Sunburst Buffet will have a special New Year’s Day Brunch serving Western Style Scrambled Eggs, Stuffed French Toast as well as Rigatoni with Seafood Bolognese, Honey Mustard Pork Loin and more.   Brunch hours will be from 9:00am – 2:00pm.  With dinner service to follow until 11:00pm.

On New Year’s Day, Pompeii & Caesar will offer their champagne brunch from10:00am – 2:30pm and will re-open to serve dinner from 5:00pm – 10:00pm. 

Birches Bar & Grill will open early at 9:00am, Friday, January 1st through Sunday, January 3rd.

Mohegan Sun restaurants to offer gourmet dishes and desserts for Easter and Passover

UNCASVILLE, CT (April 3, 2009) – Mohegan Sun will feature special menu additions throughout the property for Easter & Passover.  The following offerings will be available:

The Longhouse will be serving Braised Lamb Shank accompanied with Stuffed Morel Mushrooms and served with Spring Vegetable Couscous and Tomato Cabernet Jus.  This will be offered at $34.00 per person.

At Birches Bar & Grill, enjoy a mouthwatering four-course meal that will start out with Soup du Jour and a Garden Salad with your choice of dressing.  The entrée will feature a Roast Leg of Lamb with Parsnips, Maple-Glazed Carrots, Herbed Fingerling Potatoes, and Apple Demi Glaze infused with Mint.  Top this meal off with Coconut Bombe with Fresh Berries and Edible Spring Flower, for $28.00 per person.

Starting on Passover and continuing through Easter, Fidelia’s will be showcasing some special menu items that include Gefilte Fish, Beet Horseradish and Matzo Crackers.  On Easter Sunday, Fidelia’s will be offering Brown Sugar and Honey-Glazed Smoked Pork with Mélange of Brussels Sprouts, Baby Carrots, Broccoli and Cauliflower and Mashed Sweet Potatoes for $16.00 per person.  Dessert will also feature Coconut Bombe with Fresh Berries and Edible Spring Flower.

Seasons Buffet will be showcasing an array of delicious foods and desserts starting at the carving board which will feature Slow Roasted Prime Rib, Shallot & Rosemary-Crusted Lamb Roast and Roasted Turkey Breast & Thighs.  Other special items for Easter Sunday include Roasted Leg of Lamb with Mint Jus Li, Seared-Spiced Salmon and Shrimp with Chicken & Penne topped with a Cajun Cream Sauce.  Add some savory sides such as Sautéed Green Beans with Wild Mushrooms, Honey-Buttered Yellow & White Corn and Maple Glazed Baby Carrots.  Desserts will include favorites like Apple or Fruit Cobbler, Warm-Battered Cheesecake Bites and Sticky Buns, Cinnamon-Raison Rice Pudding, and Pineapple Upside-down Cake.  Breakfast starts at 7:30am and lunch begins at 11:00am.  The Buffet is open until 10:00pm breakfast is $10.85 for adults and $6.84 for children.  Enjoy lunch for $16.98 for adults and $9.43 for children.

Mohegan Sun Welcomes 2009 with Gourmet Entrées and Desserts

Special menu items prepared on New Year’s Eve
and New Year’s Day

Mohegan Sun’s culinary team welcomes 2009 with gourmet menu items including Grilled Lobster Tail, Filet Mignon and Stuffed Lobster in addition to their regular menu selections.  Additionally, a variety of rich desserts and succulent side dishes are to be served throughout the property on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Wednesday, December 31st
Todd English’s Tuscany will feature Truffle Onion Soup for the first course, followed by a six-ounce Filet Pan Roasted Lobster, White Sweet Potatoes, Salsify and a serving of decadent Chocolate Ricotta Cheesecake for dessert from 4:00pm to 12:00am at $60.00 per person.  Reservations are recommended.

Pompeii & Caesar will serve a ten-ounce Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Glace, accompanied with a Butter-Poached Cold Water Lobster Tail, Seasonal Vegetables and Truffle-Scented Mashed Potatoes followed by a delicious Opera Torte for dessert for $60.00 per person from 4:00pm to 12:00am. Bamboo Forest will offer Ginger and Scallion Steamed Lobster Stuffed with LemonGrass- Scented Shrimp followed by Opera Torte for dessert from 4:00pm to 12:00am at $90.00 per person. Reservations are recommended.
The Longhouse will prepare a Grilled Lobster Tail with Tarragon Coral Butter along with an eight-ounce Filet Mignon with Sauce Bordelaise with sides of Pancetta and Onion Rosti and Roast Seasonal Vegetables.  The meal will conclude with Opera Torte for dessert. Dinner will be served from 4:00pm to 12:00am for $65.00 per person.  Reservations are recommended.

Birches Bar & Grill will offer a cup of house soup or salad for starters.  The entrée feature is Surf and Turf consisting of a Petit Filet Mignon topped with a Wild Mushroom Ragoût and accompanied with Three Shrimp Scampi, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes and Glazed Baby Carrots.  The meal will conclude with Opera Torte for dessert. Dinner will be served from 11:30am to 1:30am at $44.95 per person.

Seasons Buffet will serve various specialty dishes including Lobster Bisque, Grilled Rib Eye with Wild Mushroom Compote and Stuffed Flounder with Crabmeat. Side dishes include Herb Truffle French Fries, Sautéed Green Beans and Shrimp and Scallops Aioli. Servings of Chocolate Cherry Bread Pudding, Amaretto Cheesecake, Chocolate Crumb and Cherry Chunk Brownie will serve as dessert.  The buffet is offered at $16.98, plus tax and will serve dinner from 11:30am to 1:00am.

Sunburst Buffet will offer a wide selection of gourmet entrées including Clams with Champagne Saffron Cream, Crab and Shrimp Stir Fry, Oscar Stuffed Salmon with Tarragon Beurre Blanc Sauce and Chicken Cacciatore. Side dishes include Fresh Asparagus, Petit Osso Bucco and Sautéed Broccoli Rabe. For dessert, diners can feast on Chocolate Cherry Bread Pudding, Amaretto Cheesecake and Chocolate Crumb Coffee Toffee Brownie. The buffet is offered at $19.81, plus tax and will serve dinner from 5:00pm to 12:00am.

Fidelia’s and Mohegan Sun’s Room Service will prepare Baked Stuffed Shrimp with Béarnaise and Herb Roasted Potatoes, Lemon Asparagus Spears, Housemade Soup or Fidelia’s Side Salad with Opera Torte for dessert from 11:00am until Midnight at $32.00 per person.

Thursday, January 1st
At Pompeii & Caesar guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne with an array of specialty dishes offered during New Year’s Day Brunch. Selections include a Raw Bar, King Crab Legs with Garlic Butter, Ham Steamship carved to order, Omelets and Frittatas to order,  a variety of fresh fruit, salads and pastas, international dishes and traditional breakfast offerings of bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes and classic Cheese Blintzes topped with sour cream, blueberry and strawberry sauces.  Diners will conclude the meal by visiting the dessert station which features a flowing Chocolate Fountain with a variety of holiday dipping items, candy and confections.  Pompeii & Caesar will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm for $38.95, plus tax.  Reservations are recommended.

Fidelia’s and Mohegan Sun’s Room Service will offer Stuffed Pork Loin, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Tarragon Butter Glazed Carrots and a Fresh Soup or Fidelia’s Side Salad for $20.00 until Midnight.
