Carlos Mencia Brings His Madness to Mohegan Sun

Carlos Mencia gets free and outrageous reign September 5th in the Arena

Comedy audiences have something to celebrate as Carlos Mencia will perform live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, September 5th at 8:00pm.

The release of Mencia’s comedy album Take A Joke America kickstarted his comedy career in 2001, leading to his first tour.  As a part of the “Three Amigos” Latin comedy tour, his fame continued to grow.   Finally, it was the Comedy Central show Mind of Mencia that cemented his place as a heavyweight contender on the current comedy scene.    Please note that this show is intended for mature audiences.

Jeff Dunham’s Spark of Insanity Tour Returns to Mohegan Sun

Irreverent, cutting-edge comedy on Friday, August 14th

Jeff Dunham, America’s premier comedian/ventriloquist, returns to Mohegan Sun Arena with his Spark of Insanity Tour on Friday, August 14th at 8:00pm.

Dunham and his fast-talking, irreverent “suitcase posse” became household names with his hour-long Comedy Central special entitled Jeff Dunham – Spark of Insanity.   That is only one of several TV appearances that account for Dunham’s popularity.  He has been seen with both David Letterman and Jay Leno, and guested on Blue Collar TV and The Best Damn Sports Show.  The unpredictable “suitcase posse” includes Achmed, the dead terrorist; the self-described comic genius Peanut; runaway vegetable José Jalapeño on a stick; mild-mannered superhero Melvin; and feisty old codger Walter.

Lewis Black, host of Comedy Central’s hit show The Root of All Evil, returns to Mohegan Sun Arena for a night of stand-up comedy on Saturday, July 18th starting at 8:00pm.

Lewis Black has been ranting about the follies of American life and politics for several years now, becoming best known for his continuing visits to Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.   His hysterically-funny observations have made him one of the most popular attractions on the stand-up comedy circuit, taking him from comedy clubs to Carnegie Hall.  In 2008, Black released his latest CD, Anticipation.
