Comedienne will deliver stand-up act in the Arena on April 9th

Talk show host, author and stand-up comedian Chelsea Handler announced today that she will celebrate the release of her third book, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, by headlining a 21-city tour presented by Belvedere Vodka, which will stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, April 9th at 8:00pm with special guest Brad Wollack.

As one of the nation’s fastest-rising female stand-ups, Chelsea has performed to sold-out audiences at venues and festivals across the country, including, most recently, the prestigious Carnegie Hall. Her comedy mixes fearless honesty, ironic riffs and self-deprecations with an abundance of always-fresh material.

Although she regularly appears on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, has co-hosted The View, was profiled on Nightline, and has been featured on Today, LIVE with Regis and Kelly and Late Night with David Letterman, Chelsea is best known for her own E! Entertainment show, Chelsea Lately, which airs weeknights at 11:00pm. Brad Wollack is a two-time Emmy nominated television writer, producer and on-camera correspondent.  In the past year, Wollack served as the head writer and Supervising Producer for the Fox Sports Net’s comedy-sports talk show pilot, Regular Joe’s, and was a writer/producer for the popular E! comedy series, The Chelsea Handler Show, as well as the Simon Cowell/A. Smith & Co./FOX collaboration, Celebrity Duets. Currently, Wollack writes for –and often appears on — the acclaimed late night comedy series on E!, Chelsea Lately.

Mohegan Sun will host comedy nights in The Cabaret Theatre presented by Treehouse Comedy Productions

Beginning Saturday, February 13th,  The Cabaret Theatre will begin hosting a comedy night every Saturday evening presented by Treehouse Comedy Productions. Comedy nights will begin at 9:00pm with three-act shows for twenty-one plus audiences unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  This comedy series will be presented and staged through a partnership between Mohegan Sun and the well-known, Connecticut-based Treehouse Comedy Productions.

Opening night of the comedy series will bring celebrity comic Kevin Meaney to The Cabaret Theatre stage.  He is one of the most popular stand-up comics in the business with more than twenty-five years of experience. His TV and movie credits include Saturday Night Live, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and the film, Big.  Meaney also starred in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray and most recently taped an upcoming episode on the award-winning TV show, 30 Rock.

Treehouse Comedy Productions was born out of the Treehouse Comedy Club, Connecticut’s first and original full-time comedy showcase that began in Westport in 1983.  The original club featured then up-and-comers Rosie O’Donnell, Denis Leary and Jon Stewart.  With the opening of various satellite venues throughout the state, Treehouse Comedy Productions hosted and helped launch the careers of such noteworthy comics such as Jim Gaffigan and Lisa Lampanelli.  Treehouse Comedy Productions have staged more than 10,000 shows in the last twenty-five years, presenting the very best in live stand-up comedy in Connecticut.

The ever popular comedian is live in the Arena on November 13th & 14th with special guest Reno Collier

The man who coined the phrase “Git-R-Done,”  Larry The Cable Guy comes to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th with special guest Reno Collier.  Both shows start at 8:00pm.

With his cry of “Git-R-Done!” and “Lord, I Apologize,” Larry The Cable Guy has sold out theatres and arenas across the United States.  Larry can be seen starring in the feature films Delta Farce with Bill Engvall and Witless Protection with Jenny McCarthy and he is the voice of Mater in the feature film Cars from Disney/Pixar.  Larry‘s DVD special Git-R-Done, sold more than 1 million copies and has been certified platinum. The special aired on Comedy Central and gave the network their second biggest Sunday night ratings in the channel’s history.

Reno Collier, a former P.E. teacher from West Virginia, has endeared himself to a wide range of audiences from college students to church softball teams. With a contagious laugh and friendly, almost intoxicating demeanor, Reno’s observations often find him recalling mishaps of his West Virginia cousins, his Scottish heritage, unruly in-laws and alien abductions.  Reno’s TV credits include NBC’s Late Friday, Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, The Martin Short Show, VH-1’s The List and Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.
