Collegiate Event to Feature 40 Teams in 45 Games Over 11 Days

Yesterday at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in San Antonio, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced a ten-year partnership extension with Connecticut-based entertainment venue Mohegan Sun. The Hall of Fame and Mohegan Sun have enjoyed an 11 year partnership and this announcement will continue the relationship for the long term.
Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the next Wolf Den Hall of Fame inductee will be none other than the legendary Tower Of Power. The Oakland, CA band will be live in concert on Saturday, April 18th at Mohegan Sun. The longtime Wolf Den performers will kick off at 8:00pm and early into the show, Senior VP of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, along with Mohegan Tribal Chairman, Kevin Brown, will take the stage to present Tower of Power with their well-deserved Wolf Den Hall of Fame honor.
Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den Hall of Fame has been awarded to great acts such as Eddie Money, Little Anthony & The Imperials, America and John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band since its incarnation. The exclusive club recognizes a distinct class of performers whose longevity and dedication have helped make the Wolf Den as successful as it is today. Mohegan Sun is very proud to recognize and celebrate Chubby Checker’s involvement with the Wolf Den and more importantly his passion and importance to music over the last half century.
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that it will hold the Hall of Fame Women’s Holiday Showcase on Sunday, December 21st at 5:00pm at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. The defending national champion University of Connecticut will take on UCLA in a game to be televised nationally by ESPN2.
