Treat Mom to dining, shopping and spa specials this Mother’s Day at Mohegan Sun

May 9th is almost here and Mohegan Sun plans on making Mother’s Day a memorable one with gourmet dining, Elemis Spa specials and exclusive discounts at Mom’s favorite Mohegan Sun shops. 

DINING OFFERINGS

Todd English’s Tuscany will prepare a three-course meal starting with Lobster Fegatini in Fennel Brown Butter. It’s followed by Pastrami-Rubbed Duck served over Porcini Dusted Potatoes and Roasted Cipollini Onions and then a Petit Rack of Lamb served with Spring Pea and Mint Risotto with Lamb Jus. Concluding the meal will be a signature Fallen Chocolate Cake. The special will be offered at $47.00 per person or $82.00 per person with wine pairings from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.

Birches Bar & Grill will offer a three-course meal starting with a choice of Soup Du Jour or a Garden Salad followed by Baked Seafood Stuffed Shrimp with Lemon Beurre Blanc Sauce served with Asparagus Spears and Wild Rice Pilaf. Lastly, a Raspberry Panna Cotta on a Cookie base with fresh Berries and Raspberry Coulis will be served for dessert. The meal will be offered at $25.95 per person from 10:00am to 3:30am.

At Big Bubba’s BBQ, a special dinner consisting of Prime Rib with a Twice Baked Potato plus an additional side will be prepared for $22.95 per person from 11:30am to 10:00pm.

Sunburst Buffet will offer a special brunch menu featuring items such as Creamy Gorgonzola Pasta Primavera, Pepperoni Frittata and Mussels with Lemon Grass Broth from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Dinner will be prepared from 2:00pm to 9:00pm and will feature an array of specialties including Gemelli with Bolognaise& Fresh Mozzarella, Tuscan Chicken with Broccoli & Penne and Swordfish with Tomato Vinaigrette. Both meals will be offered at $19.81 per person and $10.37 for children between the ages of six and twelve.

Special hours will be available at Bar Americain with dinner service from 2:00pm to 8:00pm,  and Pompeii & Caesar will offer a special brunch menu from 10:00am to 4:00pm.    

HOTEL & SPA SPECIALS

Elemis Spa will feature the Trail of Life Ritual package which includes an Ocean Warming Bath, a fifty-minute Swedish Massage, Visible Brilliance Facial, Exotic Hand Ritual, Sole Delight Pedicure, Frangipani Conditioning Hair and Scalp Ritual. The package includes a light lunch and is offered at $438.00.

DINING OFFERINGS

Todd English’s Tuscany will be offering a four-course tasting starting with Corn and Crab Soup followed by Lobster-Crusted Swordfish, then a tender Rack of Lamb and topped off with a flavorful Fallen Chocolate Cake for dessert.  This meal is served at $60.00 per person.

At The Longhouse, Mohegan Sun celebrates Mother’s Day with the Filet Thermidor which features Petite Filet Mignon and Butter-Poached Lobster Tail served with an English Pea, Golden Beet and Fava Bean Sauté and a Crispy Chive Potato Cake.   This special is offered at $50.00 per person.

Michael Jordan’s Steak House offers a special Mother’s Day brunch menu from 12:00pm to 4:00pm which will consist of wonderful selections like Lobster Caviar Omelet made with Maine lobster, Caviar and Crème Fraiche for $12.00, Poached Eggs Creole, Sautéed Spinach, Brioche, Serrano Ham, and spicy Remoulade for $10.00, and Baked Blueberry French Toast with Whipped Cream and Vermont Maple Syrup for $8.00.  A savory Roast Prime Rib au Jus for $20.00 per person is available all day and evening.   This special brunch will have a variety of sides as well for an additional $3.00 to $5.00. 

Birches Bar & Grill offers a Soup du Jour followed by Birches House Salad.  The Mother’s Day entrée is delectable Seared Filet Medallions Homard with Twin Filets topped with a Shrimp and Lobster Sauté, served with Asparagus Spears and Chive Mashed Potatoes for $35.00 per person

Fidelia’s is going for the best of both worlds this Mother’s Day serving a Surf & Turf entrée of 10 oz Prime Rib and a (3) Shrimp Skewer served with Sautéd Shoestring Vegetables, Smashed Roasted Potatoes and Au Jus.  This meal is offered at $28.00 per person.

Birches Bar & Grill and Fidelia’s will also be featuring a special “Mom’s Day Dessert”  of White Chocolate Pound Cake topped with Lemon Chiffon and Fresh Berries.

Seasons Buffet will be serving up homemade soups & chowders including Lobster Bisque and the Soup of the Day:  Sausage, Corn & Tomato.  The wood-oven options will include Cheese with Tomato & Basil Pizza alongside Garlic-Infused Focaccia Bread.  Enjoy Grilled Chicken with Lemon Butter and Hawaiian Pork Loin in the regency selections.    Dessert will include Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry Ice Cream, Assorted Tarts, Apple or Fruit Cobbler, Warm-Battered Cheesecake Bites and Sticky Buns and Cannolis.  The buffet serves breakfast at 7:30am and lunch begins at 11:00am.  The Buffet is open until 10:00pm and costs $16.95 for adults and $9.43 for children.

Sunburst Buffet will be offering a variety of selections that include Honey Herb-Glazed Pork Loin, Prime Rib of Beef with Au Jus, Scallion & Pancetta Home Style Mashed Yukons, Roasted Chicken Adobo, Stuffed Turkey Breast with Spinach, Mushrooms & Tomato and Jalapeno-Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Smoked Ham.  Dessert specials include Cobblers, Bread Pudding, Hot Caramel Apples, Cherries Jubilee and Hot Toffee Nut Crumbs.  The Sunburst Buffet will be open from 11:00am – 9:00pm on Sunday, May 10th, Mother’s Day and is $19.81 for adults and $10.37 for children 6-12.
