A new event crowning the best beer and chili in the State on August 22nd
CPTV (Connecticut Public Television) and WNPR (Connecticut Public Radio) have been known for producing programs and special events that celebrate fine wine and rich culinary pursuits – from Eating CT to The Faith Middleton Show’s Food Schmooze to signature event wine dinners. Now the public broadcasting networks are turning their attention to another culinary pursuit: beer and chili!
Many breweries and restaurants have signed on to participate in CPTV and WNPR’s first annual Craft Beer and Chili Challenge event inside Mohegan Sun Arena in on Sunday, August 22nd from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. So far, forty breweries and almost fifteen Connecticut restaurants will be offering their craft beers and chilis for visitors to taste and enjoy.

All-inclusive tickets are $45.00 for general admission and $30.00 for designated driver tickets. There is also a VIP early entrance general admission ticket (gaining early entry to the event at 12:00pm) available for $75.00 and a VIP early entrance designated driver ticket available for $60.00. Visitors to the event will be able to sample a vast selection of craft-brewed beers as well as a variety of chili – from hearty and meaty, to hot and spicy, to vegetarian and everything in between. Then everyone can vote on their favorites, and the best beer and chili in Connecticut will be crowned.
