Named Best Slot Product at the 2014 Gaming & Technology Awards
On November 15th, Mohegan Sun will be the first and only casino on the East Coast to feature IGT’s award-winning James Cameron’s AVATAR™ Video Slots.
In honor of the game’s release, a 3-day launch celebration will transform Mohegan Sun’s casino floor into a land like Pandora on November 15th-17th. This will include a replica Tree of Souls as seen in the film, photo opportunities with Na’vi Warriors, drink specials and more.
Inspired by the highest-grossing movie of all time, James Cameron’s AVATAR, the game is packed with iconic imagery from the film and never-before-seen game features. Players are captivated by the ability to create a user name and login that can be saved for future play, the ability to unlock new content with advances in game play, and the option to customize environmental game elements including music, character and theme.
The dazzling game was named “Best Slot Product” at the 2014 Gaming & Technology Awards, hosted by Global Gaming Business. This award is considered one of the gaming industry’s finest accolades. Winners were announced at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in September. In addition to Mohegan Sun, these machines will only be available at two other casinos in the United States.

The televised event will feature a total $650,000 series guarantee
WHAT: The DeepStacks Poker Tour returns to Mohegan Sun for the 2013 DeepStacks World Championship, a week-long event featuring a $650,000 series guarantee that culminates in a televised final table on Monday, November 25th.

IN DETAIL: The DeepStacks Poker Tour brings the action back to the felt for their return to Mohegan Sun’s Poker Room in Casino of the Wind. The DeepStacks Poker Tour World Championship is set to kick off Monday, November 18th, with a guaranteed prize pool of $650,000 up for grabs throughout the eight day event. The tournament includes both affordable buy-in tournaments as well as a four-day World Championship final event featuring the game’s top pros. Deepstacks will run 11:00am tournaments every day, from Monday, November 18th through Sunday, November 24th, with additional 6:00pm tournaments November 18th-20th, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 6:00pm tournaments Thursday , November 21st and a 2:00pm tournament Friday, November 22nd. The televised final table Championship event will be held in The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun at 2:00pm on Monday, November 25th.

“That’s My Kind Of Night Tour” Adds 2nd Show at Mohegan Sun Arena
Luke Bryan fans will be happy to know that Mohegan Sun Arena will be adding another date to the “That’s My Kind of Night Tour.” The huge Country tour, featuring Lee Brice and Cole Swindell, will now have back to back 7:30pm shows on Thursday, January 23rd and Friday, January 24th. Tickets for the added show are on sale now!
Tickets are $99.75 and $79.75 and are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Luke Bryan is currently nominated for three CMA Awards, “Entertainer of the Year,” “Male Vocalist” and “Musical Event” for “The Only Way I Know” with Jason Aldean and Eric Church. The show will air live on ABC on November 6th from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Luke also has two nominations for the upcoming American Music Awards on ABC on Sunday, November 24th – “Favorite Male Artist”- Country and “Favorite Album- Country.”
