Featuring Foreigner Original Lead Singer/Founding Member Lou Gramm, Journey, former Lead Vocalist Steve Augeri, & Asia featuring John Payne

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 22, 2024) ––Legends of the 80’s Rock scene hit the Mohegan Sun Arena stage for an 80’s Rock Tour featuring three of the genre’s favorite multiplatinum selling, internationally known artists including Lou Gramm, the original lead singer/founding member of Foreigner; Steve Augeri, former lead vocalist of Journey; and Asia featuring John Payne. The show kicks off on Friday, July 5th at 8:00pm.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 24th at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Saturday, May 25th, subject to availability.

Lou Gramm

Lou Gramm was born in Rochester, New York, and began his musical career in his mid-teens, playing in local Rochester bands, including St. James Infirmary (later The Infirmary), and PHFFT. He later sang harmony vocals in another local band, Poor Heart. Gramm then went on to sing and play drums, and to eventually become front man for the band, Black Sheep.

Lou Gramm was the lead vocalist on all of Foreigner’s hit songs, including “Feels Like the First Time”, “Cold as Ice”, “Long, Long Way from Home”, “Hot Blooded”, “Double Vision”, “Blue Morning, Blue Day”, “Head Games”, “Dirty White Boy”, “Urgent”, “Juke Box Hero”, “Break It Up” and “Say You Will”. He co-wrote most of the songs for the band, which achieved two of its biggest hits with the ballads “Waiting for a Girl Like You”, which spent ten weeks at #2 on the 1981-82 American Hot 100, and “I Want to Know What Love Is”, which was a #1 hit internationally (US & UK) in 1985. Their first 8 singles cracked the Billboard Top 20, (4 went Top 10) making them the first group since the Beatles to achieve this in 1980.

Steve Augeri

Drawing on a range of diverse musical influences to deliver a unique take on the genre of melodic rock, Steve Augeri is an American Rock singer best known as the lead vocalist for the Rock group, Journey, from 1998 to 2006. Steve Augeri debuts with the seven times Platinum Armageddon sound track then on to record three albums during a successful eight-year tenure that brought one of the worlds most accomplished melodic Rock groups back to the stage for multiple world tours and millions of adoring fans.

Prior to Journey, Steve Augeri was a founding member of Epic recording artists Tall Stories. The group released their eponymous debut in 1992 and long-awaited follow-up Skyscraper in 2009. It was then on to Melodic Rock group Tyketto, with whom he recorded the 1970’s Retro flavored Shine album.

Asia featuring John Payne

John Payne became the frontman of the supergroup Asia in 1992. Asia extensively toured the world for the next 14 years performing new classics and old favorites. With John Payne fronting the band, Asia released eight stunning studio albums and several live recordings. His hits include “Heat of The Moment,” “Don’t Cry,” “Only Time Will Tell,” “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes,” “Go” and “Days Like These.”
