Chicago’s roadwork continues behind Chicago XXXII: Stone of Sisyphus, the band’s most recent studio set, which hit shelves in June 2008, fifteen years after Warner Bros. Records refused to release it. The Peter Wolf-produced album peaked at No. 122 on The Billboard 200.
The Doobie Brothers have sold over 30 million albums in the United States from the 1970s to the present. Their most recent studio effort, Sibling Rivalry, was released in 2000. The band was honored in 2004 by being inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
Chicago and The Doobie Brothers partnered once before, on a 23-date tour in 2008. As was the case for those shows, the two bands plan to unite for several tunes during their upcoming joint outing. On the ’08 run, the bands joined forces on Chicago’s “Free,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” and “25 or 6 to 4,” and The Doobie Brothers’ “Rockin’ Down the Highway” and “Listen to the Music.”
Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked the 4th best venue by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.” For more information on concerts and other great events at Mohegan Sun, visit mohegansun.com.
