Weighing in at an impressive 10 tons, this dual-sided masterpiece was crafted entirely from sand by the award-winning team at Professional Sculptors, LLC, featuring celebrated artists Abe Waterman and Greg J. “G2” Grady. The sculpture brings to life iconic Mohegan symbols and stories, including: a classic slot machine, the legendary Mohegan Sun rock that greets visitors outside the casino, wolves honoring the Wolf People, and a detailed likeness of former Mohegan Tribe Chief, Ralph Sturges. This immersive display is more than just a seasonal attraction, it’s a tribute to the rich heritage of the Mohegan Tribe and the vibrant energy of Mohegan Sun.

MEET THE ARTISTS BEHIND THE MAGIC:
Abe Waterman, hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, is known for his imaginative and unconventional approach to ephemeral art. With a background in snow and ice sculpting, Abe transitioned to sand in 2007 and has since become a leading figure in the field. His accolades include First Place at the 2025 Atlantis Rising International Sand Sculpture Competition, European Champion at the International Sand Sculpture Europe Championship in Belgium in 2021 and World Champion in the Doubles category with Dmitry Klimenko at the Virginia Beach Neptune Championship Sand Sculpting in 2018. His work continues to captivate audiences across North America and beyond.
Greg J. Grady, a New Hampshire native and Marine Corps veteran, is a second-generation sand sculptor who turned a childhood passion into a full-time career. With over 15 years of experience, Greg has traveled the globe creating intricate sand masterpieces. Greg is also known for organizing premier sand sculpting festivals with his father and sharing his journey on Instagram at @ItsJustSand_Sculpture.

Three days of pickle-themed fun, food, music, and contests kicks off Friday, July 25th
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 2, 2025) – Pickle lovers are invited to relish in one of this summer’s most flavorful events! The Connecticut Pickle Festival will be a three-day celebration at the Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center starting Friday, July 25th and lasting through Sunday, July 27th. Held at one of the most spectacular entertainment destinations in the United States, the festival will feature a vibrant mix of pickle-themed fun, food, music, and contests. Beloved comedian and actor returns to Mohegan Sun Arena for the first time since 2022
Following successful sold-out performances in 2022 and 2023, critically acclaimed comedian Adam Sandler announces his new tour – the You’re My Best Friend Tour. The fall 2025 arena tour will bring Sandler to more than 30 cities across North America, including a return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, September 26th for an unforgettable 7:30pm show.
Tickets for Sandler’s highly anticipated show go on sale on Friday, June 27th at 12:00pm via Ticketmaster.com. Comedy fans can purchase tickets at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, June 28th, subject to availability.
Adam Sandler needs no introduction, he has found enormous success as an actor, producer, musician, and writer. His last tours in 2022 and 2023 were sold out. The 2024 Netflix special Adam Sandler: Love You was filmed over two days in sold-out concerts in Los Angeles. 100% Fresh, which was Sandler’s first comedy special in twenty years, was released by Netflix in 2018. Mohegan Sun launched The Crafty Slice last summer near The Sun Patio in Casino of the Earth, and is excited to announce a second Crafty Slice location in Casino of the Sky has officially opened. Mohegan Sun will also open a vibrant tropical themed Tiki Bar Pop-Up in the Sky Tower hotel lobby, offering guests even more ways to enjoy summertime drinks and a great vibe. Additionally, Mohegan Sun’s Sun Patio offers guests a relaxing and sleek outdoor bar open Thursday through Sunday!
The new Crafty Slice eatery expands on the popular concept’s signature offerings — a variety of pizza, craft beer, and other delicious food options on the go. The second location features an expanded menu, additional seating, and exclusive summer specials. Highlighted menu options include pizza by the slice starting at $5, from cheese to vegetarian to pepperoni and combo slices with sausage, bacon and meatball. Other grab-and-go offerings include churro bites, Sabrett’s Hot Dogs and the famous Walking Taco.
Complementing this launch is the introduction of an all-new summertime Tiki Bar, located in Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower lobby. Opening on Thursday, June 26th, The Tiki Bar will play island-influenced tunes and serve exotic cocktails like the Lava Flow (Bacardí Coconut, Fruitful Strawberry, Fruitful Banana, Pineapple & Orange Juice) and The Pineapple Upside-Down Cake (Jim Beam Pineapple Whiskey, Orange Juice, Lemon Sour, Cherry Float). This next-generation network, led by RF Connect, an integrator specializing in wireless connectivity, ensures superior smart device connectivity and supports the three major cellular carriers, offering an unrivaled user experience for all visitors.
Designed to accommodate today’s requirement for ubiquitous high-speed connectivity, the DAS is one of only a handful of deployments nationwide to deliver full 5G C-band ultra-wideband spectrum service for T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon – raising the bar for in-building wireless performance.
