The Cartells To Become newest Mohegan Sun Wolf Den Hall of Fame Honorees
Two live free shows Friday, May 31st
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 16 , 2024) – Mohegan Sun will be enshrining The Cartells as the latest group/individual inductee in the Wolf Den Hall of Fame prior to their upcoming double set of exciting, free, live shows at 8:00pm and 10:30pm on Friday, May 31st. Mohegan’s President of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, and representation from the Mohegan Tribe will take the stage early into the first show to present The Cartells with their latest accolade as Wolf Den Hall of Fame members. The band is the 15th member of Wolf Den Hall of Fame joining other notable acts such as Chubby Checker, Little Anthony & The Imperials, and Eddie Money. Since their debut in 2011, the veteran performers have appeared on the Wolf Den stage 42 times.
The Wolf Den Hall of Fame at Mohegan Sun is a select club that honors a certain class of performers whose exceptional talents and commitment have helped make Mohegan Sun a world-class entertainment destination. As some of our most celebrated performers, these artists have shown loyalty to fans at Mohegan Sun and have helped shape the Wolf Den into the successful venue it is today.
Guests must be 21 years of age to enter the Wolf Den. Guests may line up no sooner than three hours before the show. Come early as limited seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
ABOUT THE CARTELLS:
The Cartells, a Mystic Connecticut based legacy rock band, have brought their versatile repertoire, including rock and roll, jazz, swing, R&B, and Motown to the concert stage, clubs and high-end events on the East Coast since their formation in April of 1986.
The founders of the band, Bill Holloman, Karin Barth Tyska, Joe Grieco and, Gary Stevens started as a four-piece vocals forward style group. Along the way, the quartet were joined by a compliment of highly accomplished musicians Tom Majesky, guitarist, Jay Wiggin, bass guitarist, on drums, Wayne June, Peter Lepak, and currently John Corvo as well as Michael Manglicmot on percussion. Over the years other horn players have included Jimmy Biggins, Dan Cipriano, Klyph Johnson, Rick Cunningham, and Curt Ramm.
