After a four-year hiatus, Pop/Ska sensations No Doubt announced today plans for a massive 2009 tour. They will be performing live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Wednesday, June 24th at 7:30pm with special guests Paramore and Janelle Monáe.

No Doubt consists of front woman Gwen Stefani, bassist Tony Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young. Hit singles like “Don’t Speak,” “Hey Baby” and “Underneath It All” have earned the band two Grammy Awards and helped them sell 27 million records worldwide to date. No Doubt’s next studio album will be recorded on the road this summer and is set to be released in 2010.
Paramore released their debut album All We Know Is Falling in 2005. Their second album, Riot! was released in 2007 and was certified platinum in the U.S. and gold in the U.K. and Ireland. Their most recent single “Decode” was the lead single for the novel-based film Twilight.
Janelle Monáe released Metropolis: The Chase Suite (Special Edition) in 2008 after signing with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ label, Bad Boy Records. The album spawned the Grammy-nominated single “Many Moons.”

Live in the Arena on Monday, March 16th
Two dominant forces in Rock music are teaming up for an unforgettable night at Mohegan Sun. Buckcherry and Papa Roach will perform live in the Arena on Monday, March 16th at 7:30pm.

A hard rock favorite since its eponymous debut in 1999, the Grammy nominated Buckcherry has since released the platinum album 15, the top ten smash and recently released Black Butterfly, and freewheeling hits like “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry.”
Papa Roach hit the big time with their first major label debut in 2000, Infest which featured the mega-hit “Last Resort.” Their second album Lovehatetragedy followed in 2002 featuring the hit song “She Loves Me Not.” A third album soon followed, Getting Away With Murder and launched the single “Scars.” Papa Roach’s fourth studio album The Paramour Sessions was released in 2007 featuring “….To Be Loved.”

Massive world tour kicks off in Uncasville
As if a night together with Grammy Award winner Keith Urban, one of the industry’s most explosive and critically-hailed live acts isn’t enough: now comes word that Urban’s “Escape Together World Tour” together with KC Masterpiece® and Kingsford® stop in Uncasville will also feature multi-platinum superstars Sugarland. This incredible tour kicks off with two shows at Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, May 7th and Friday, May 8th. Both shows begin at 7:30pm.

“Sugarland and I are going to give our fans at Mohegan Sun two nights to remember,” said Urban. “Nights where they’ll be able to leave their cares at the door and just let loose for a few hours.”
2009 is already shaping up to be a busy one for Urban. Not only will May mark the launch of a North American concert tour that will visit fifty-eight cities, March 31st will see the release of a new album, Defying Gravity. The CD’s first single “Sweet Thing” has already become his eighteenth Top 5 Country single.
A headliner in their own right, Sugarland is sure to perform all of their hits, including their #1’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” “Settlin’,” “All I Want To Do” and their most recent #1 from their current CD Love On The Inside, “Already Gone.” The combination of talent that will take the stage in Uncasville is sure to give fans a show like no other this summer. As the current host of E!’s enormously popular celebrity news show The Soup, Joel McHale got his start in show business back in the 90s as part of a sketch-comedy group in downtown Seattle. Since then McHale has been on such TV staples as CSI: Miami, Will & Grace, Pushing Daisies, a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Countdown with Keith Olbermann and on radio’s The Adam Carolla Show. Next up McHale is starring opposite Matt Damon and Scott Bakula in the Steven Soderbergh directed film The Informant.
