Headliners Disturbed & Korn perform live in the Arena on January 28th with special guests Sevendust & In This Moment.
In what promises to be the hottest tour of winter 2011, Disturbed & Korn, two of Rock’s biggest acts, are teaming up to co-headline this year’s Monster Energy Music As A Weapon 5 Tour. The tour will be stopping by Mohegan Sun for a performance in the Arena on Friday, January 28th at 7:30pm with special guests Sevendust & In This Moment.

Jonathan Davis of Korn and David Draiman of Disturbed on how the fourty-five city trek across America came about:
“We’ve both just finished great tours. We headlined Mayhem and Disturbed headlined Uproar. The Disturbed guys came out to see us play in Chicago and we got to talking about doing something together. We both agreed that as cool as those types of tours are, they usually only hit major markets, and we both agreed that a lot of our fans just don’t live in those cities, so we thought it would be cool to team up, put a big show together, and hit every great place that those big tours never get to. Besides all that, with us and Disturbed together, doing full shows with full production…all I can say is IT’S ON!”, said the excited Korn frontman.
“We are thrilled to launch the Monster Energy Music As A Weapon 5 Tour with our good friends from Korn,” says Disturbed’s singer David Draiman. “Every year we try to up the ante, and this year, by having Korn co-headline, we really think it’s going to be our best tour yet. When the idea first came up, one of the main things both bands agreed upon and wanted to focus on was hitting a lot of smaller markets. It’s exciting to bring a show like this to cities that are usually skipped over on some of the other larger Rock tours that only hit the major markets. We have a lot of loyal fans in these cities and we wanted to bring them a show that they deserve.”
On August 31, 2010, Disturbed released their fifth studio album Asylum, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard album chart. Asylum is the band’s fourth consecutive studio album to debut at #1, a feat achieved by only two other Rock groups in history: Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band. An international hit with Top 10 chart bows across the globe, Asylum has earned critical praise from USA Today, which called it “a tight, sharp-riffed ride…the combo of aggressive roar and guitar grace recalls Metallica’s finest moments,” and the New York Daily News, which declared “On Asylum, Disturbed finely weighs power and delicacy, catchiness and punch. Country superstars will perform live in Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, February 18th
The best-selling Country group of the decade, Rascal Flatts, announced today they will continue their “Nothing Like This Tour” into 2011, stopping by Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, February 18th at 8:00pm. This leg of the tour will perform twenty-one shows and features opening acts Luke Bryan and Chris Young.

After months of rumors and anticipation, NKOTB & BSB confirm co-headlining tour
NKOTB and BSB shocked and delighted fans when they took the stage together for a medley at the sold-out NKOTB Radio City Music Hall show. The unprecedented performance wowed the audience and excited fans across the country. The collaboration also ignited rumors that swirled for months. “It started when we got together at Radio City Music Hall a few months back. We wanted to do something big for the crowd in NY. So we got the Backstreet Boys to come down to Radio City and we put together a performance of ‘I Want It That Way’ in about five minutes. It was electric. Something happened when they came out on stage. The crowd went to a place that we never heard it go to before,” said the guys of New Kids on the Block live on air with Ryan Seacrest on November 23rd. “We started talking, people started talking and it seemed right. Linkin Park has announced dates for their 2011 U.S. tour, which will be stopping by Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, February 11th at 8:00pm. Supporting Linkin Park at this performance are Pendulum and Does It Offend You, Yeah?

Prior to the 2011 U.S. tour – which will be the band’s first since 2008 – they completed a highly-acclaimed, sold-out tour of Europe which garnered rave reviews. Touring in support of their recently released album, A Thousand Suns, which debuted on top of the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, Linkin Park’s live show is a celebration of sound and vision – a transformative multi-media experience that befits the power of the music. The press has been buzzing about the most recent shows in Europe. The U.K.’s Guardian says, “The stage is decked out with giant screens, but it’s low and reaches right into the arena, giving simultaneous impression of a spectacle and being ‘one with the fans, “ and London’s Evening Standard called the band’s two-night sold-out stand at the O2 Arena, “exhilarating.”
The tour’s set list combines the biggest hits of the band’s career, as well as material from the new album, which has been described as a psychedelic journey that explores the conflict between technology and humanity. Kevin Hart burst onto the scene and has become one of the most versatile comedy actors in film and television. He can most recently be seen in Death at a Funeral, a remake of the 2007 British movie of the same name, alongside Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan and Martin Lawrence. Previously, Hart was seen on the big screen in the 20th Century FOX comedy Meet Dave opposite Eddie Murphy and in Dimension Films’ action comedy spoof Superhero Movie opposite Tracy Morgan and Regina Hall. He also co-starred alongside Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson in Fool’s Gold. His biggest break came when he landed the lead in MGM’s Soul Plane opposite Tom Arnold, Method Man and Snoop Dogg. Hart’s recent film credits include Not Easily Broken, Extreme Movie, Drillbit Taylor, Epic Movie, The Last Stand, Scary Movie 4, In the Mix and The 40 Year Old Virgin. Also, he’ll soon be seen in the Meet the Fockers sequel set to be released December 2010.
In January 2009, Hart premiered his new one-hour comedy special I’m a Grown Little Man on Comedy Central. The special debuted as one of the highest rated specials for the network. He recently took over as host of BET’s classic stand-up comedy series Comic View: One Mic Stand when the show re-launched in 2008. Hart follows in the footsteps of past hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer. Hart’s other television credits include ABC’s The Big House which he also executive produced and wrote and recurring roles on Love, Inc., Barbershop and Undeclared.
Hart debuted on amateur night at a Philadelphia comedy club and was insistently hooked. He quit his job as a shoe salesman and began performing full-time at such clubs as The Boston Comedy Club, Carolines, Stand-Up NY, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. However, it was his first appearance at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival that led to work in such feature films as Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3 and Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston. With his passion for stand-up intact, Hart continues to tour the country to sold-out audiences.
