$400 No Limit Hold’em Tournament Takes Place August 14th – 16th
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 17, 2026) – Poker players looking to make their mark this summer can take their shot at a share of $75,000 guaranteed during the Mohegan Sun Summer Showdown Poker Tournament, taking place Friday, August 14th through Sunday, August 16th in the Mohegan Sun Poker Room. This No Limit Hold’em tournament will award 12% of the field with prize money, giving competitors multiple opportunities to battle for a share of the guaranteed prize pool during three days of exciting tournament action.
Players will compete for a share of the $75,000 guaranteed prize pool with a $400 entry fee ($335 buy-in + $65 entry fee), offering poker enthusiasts from across the region the chance to play for a major payday. Participants will also have the option to purchase a 5,000 chip add-on for $10. On-site registration will take place in the Mohegan Sun Poker Room one hour before the start of each flight and will remain open through the beginning of level seven. Take Fundraising to New Heights During This One-of-a-Kind Rappelling Event on August 28th
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 16, 2026) – Registration is open for Special Olympics Connecticut’s Over the Edge fundraiser, hosted by Mohegan Sun, which will take place on Friday, August 28th. Participants are invited to take fundraising to new heights by rappelling more than 30 stories down Mohegan Sun’s iconic Sky Tower in support of year-round sports, health and fitness programs for nearly 14,000 athletes of all abilities across Connecticut. Whether making the descent or cheering from below, guests will be part of a one-of-a-kind event that brings courage, community and inclusion together in a bold way. Each participant will be fitted with safety gear, trained and guided through the experience. New Artwork by NYC Native Invites Guests to Strike a Pose and Spread Their Wings
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 15, 2026) – Mohegan Sun is inviting guests to capture their next Instagram-worthy moment with the debut of a vibrant new wings mural located just outside Beauty & Essex in Casino of the Sky. Designed to complement the restaurant’s Jewelry Box and bold aesthetic, the large-scale artwork serves as a colorful backdrop for photos and a new visual landmark within Mohegan Sun.
Guests are encouraged to pose in front of the mural, spread their wings and share their experience while enjoying one of Mohegan Sun’s most distinctive dining destinations. UNCASVILLE, CT (July 13, 2026) – Mohegan Sun’s Summer Blackjack Tournament Series gives guests the chance to compete for a share of more than $100,000 in total prizes this summer. With eight tournaments remaining, eligible Momentum Rewards members can participate every Wednesday through September 2nd for a shot at a $10,000 weekly prize pool. Part of Mohegan Sun’s $2 Million Summer, the tournaments take place from 4:00pm to 8:00pm across from the Main Cage located in Casino of the Earth, with entry requiring just two Momentum Status Points earned on Wild Wednesdays prior to tournament play.
