Bowzer’s Rock-N- Roll Party Volume VII brings together an amazing roster of talents who will bring audiences back to the golden era of 45 rpm hits that ruled the jukeboxes, transistor radios and turntables of an earlier time.  Lou Christie is sure to perform his hits “Lightnin’ Strikes,” “Two Faces Have I” and “The Gypsy Cried.”  Lesley Gore delivers prime nostalgia with songs like “It’s My Party,” “You Don’t Own Me” and “Maybe I Know.”  It’s time to shout out “Wooly Bully” when Sam The Sham returns with his signature hit and his own wild version of “Li’l Red Riding Hood.” The Original Comets return by popular demand.  As lively as ever, the group revs up the room with classics like “Rock Around The Clock,” “Shake, Rattle and Roll” and “See You Later, Alligator.” Joey Dee and The Starliters bring in their trademark hits “Peppermint Twist” and “Shout.”    Wanda Jackson brings in the unforgettable pulsing beat of “Let’s Have A Party.”   The Soul Survivors  add romance with “Expressway To Your Heart.”    Charlie Gracie performs his favorites “Butterfly” and “Fabulous.”  As always, Bowzer & The Stingrays also take the Arena stage, while Bowzer himself plays host for the evening.
The list of hits by Daryl Hall and John Oates goes on forever.   Beginning with “She’s Gone” in 1974, they were consistently found on the charts and on MTV over the next ten years.  Their releases include the #1 singles “Rich Girl,”  “Kiss On My List,”  “Maneater,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)” and “Out of Touch.”  The duo will be honored with the Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement by The National Association of Recording Merchandisers this summer.
August is the 40th anniversary of Woodstock and five flower-powered originators of Rock are teaming up for an unforgettable evening at Mohegan Sun Arena.  The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, Mountain featuring Leslie West & Corky Laing and Badfinger featuring Joey Molland will perform at Hippiefest.

Mohegan Sun Arena’s One Day Sale

Three fantastic shows to choose from; tickets only $20.00
Mohegan Sun has just the ticket for you with its “One-Day-Only Stimulus, Recovery and Rebound Special!”  Just visit the Mohegan Sun Box Office, any ticketmaster location or ticketmaster.com any time between 10:00am on Thursday, May 28th and 10:00am on Friday, May 29th to get your seats to Hank Williams Jr., An Evening With The Judds or Montgomery Gentry – for only $20.00 per ticket per show!
In the music industry, there are very few artists who surpass superstar status to become true American icons. Hank Williams Jr. is a founding member of that elite club. Throughout his career, he’s helped shape our country’s cultural landscape with his unbridled creativity through his “from the gut” honesty and unwavering personal convictions. His music not only reflects his own life, but the common experiences that unite us.
The Judds have celebrated a career like no other.  Adored by fans and admired by their peers, these Cinderellas from Kentucky helped reshape the sound and image of American popular music. Their first project, The Judds, was released in 1984.  By the close of 1985, The Judds had two platinum albums, a gold album and six #1 singles.  These two small-town girls became one of the most celebrated success stories in Country music, selling more than twenty million records and winning over sixty industry awards including five Grammys, nine CMAs and eight Billboard Music awards.  By 1989, they were one of the top-grossing touring acts in America, selling more concert ticketsthat year than everyone but The Grateful Dead and The Rolling Stones.  In October of 1990, Naomi learned she had contracted Hepatitis C.  The debilitating disease left her no choice but to retire after a lifetime of dreams and eight years at the top.
Montgomery Gentry has captured a large following with their “what you see is what you get” mentality.  Their accolades include gold and platinum albums, CMA and ACM awards, a Grammy nomination and sold-out tours. Kentucky natives, Montgomery Gentry – Gerald Edward (Eddie) Montgomery and Troy Gentry – have also been added to the performance lineup of the Country Music Association’s Music Festival on June 11th joining the likes of Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley and John Rich.
