Rihanna, in the midst of her fourth critically-acclaimed album release Rated R, a smash #1 single with “Rude Boy” and a highly-anticipated upcoming international tour, has confirmed dates for her 2010 North American tour, Last Girl On Earth. The multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning superstar, who recently broke a Billboard record with her current #1 single “Rude Boy,” becoming the only female artist of the past decade to have six #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, will be joined by rising star Ke$ha. This very special performance will be taking place in Mohegan Sun Arena on Wednesday, August 11th at 7:30pm.

Released in November 2009, Rihanna’s fourth studio album Rated R debuted atop the Billboard R&B Albums chart at #1 and was the biggest first-week Soundscan tally of Rihanna’s career. The eagerly anticipated album arrived to a chorus of acclaim from critics and fans alike. Rolling Stone raved that it is “one of the best Pop records of the year.” The Chicago Sun Times called it “by far the best, most layered and most heartfelt effort of the 21-year-old artist’s career.” In its year-end recap, Entertainment Weekly named Rated R the “Pop Album of the Year.”
Ke$ha’s breakthrough came in early 2009 after an uncredited appearance on Flo Rida’s #1 single “Right Round.” Her debut single, “Tik Tok,” was released in August 2009 to much commercial success. It reached #1 in eleven countries and set the weekly records for the most digital downloads of a female artist and of the total Top 40 Mainstream airplay records in the U.S. The song also became the longest running #1 debut single by a female artist since 1977. Her debut album, Animal, was released in early 2010 and debuted at #1 in the U.S.

Backstreet Boys return to the Arena on June 15th. Tickets go on sale Friday

“I Gotta Feeling” February 27th is going to be a good night
Three-time Grammy Award winning group Black Eyed Peas are hitting the road in 2010 in support of their latest studio effort, the multi-platinum #1 album The E.N.D. This show is part of The E.N.D. World Tour 2010 which is described as the ultimate Black Eyed Peas party experience, with the most ambitious stage production to date. The group will be performing live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, February 27th at 7:30pm.
