The Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun will continue to thrill this fall, beginning with former teen idol Davy Jones live on Saturday, November 7th.  Country sensation Justin Moore makes his Wolf Den debut on Thursday, November 12th.  Get on your dancing shoes and prepare for Maceo Parker live on Sunday, November 15th.  Popular Rock acts Saving Abel and Nine Days will be performing in the Den on Friday, November 20th and Wednesday, November 25th respectively.  They Might Be Giants will be taking over the Wolf Den stage on Friday, November 27th.  Thursday, Friday and Saturday Wolf Den shows are at 8:00pm and Sunday shows are at 7:00pm unless otherwise noted.   Admission is free, but all patrons must be 21 or over.
Davy Jones became a household name as a member of the made-for-TV band The Monkees.  Jones sang lead vocals on many of The Monkees’ most famous hits, including “I Wanna Be Free” and “Daydream Believer.”  He has been touring as a successful solo artist since the group disbanded in the late 60s.  In 2008, Jones was named the “#1 teen idol of all time” by Yahoo Music.
Justin Moore recently became a Country music powerhouse with the release of his self-titled debut album earlier this year.  So far, the album has spawned two successful singles, “Back That Thing up,” which was a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, followed by “Small Town USA,” which earned Moore his first #1 hit.
Funk and Soul Jazz saxophonist Maceo Parker is best known for his work with James Brown in the 60s, as well as Parliament-Funkadelic in the 70s.  Parker was a prominent soloist on many of Brown’s hit recordings, and a key part of his band, playing alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. He is by now as well known for his own shows, as he has toured continuously under his own name since the early 90s and has built up a fan base on this touring alone.
Saving Abel released their self-titled, major label debut album on March 11, 2008. The album features the single “Addicted” which peaked at #2 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart.   The band is currently out on their first headlining tour, performing at venues all throughout the United States.  They will be joined by Pop Evil & Red as special guests.
Nine Days found success in the early 2000s.  They released three independent albums in the 90s before their mainstream debut album, The Madding Crowd, was released in 2000. The band scored two hits in the U.S. from The Madding Crowd, “Absolutely (Story of a Girl,)” which reached #6 and “If I Am,” which reached #68.
They Might Be Giants are a two-time Grammy award-winning band consisting of members John Flansburgh, John Linnell, Marty Beller, Dan Miller and Danny Weinkauf.  Formed in 1982, they are best known for an unconventional and experimental style of Alternative music.   To date, the band has sold over 4 million records worldwide.
