Grammy Award®-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist The Weeknd today announced The Madness Fall Tour. Set to kick off on Tuesday, November 3rd in Toronto, Ontario, the Live Nation-produced tour will support the genre-spanning artist's upcoming album, Beauty Behind The Madness, due out Friday, August 28th on XO/Republic Records. The North American arena tour spans 22 cities across the U.S. and Canada including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montreal, Atlanta, Miami, as well as a Saturday, November 14th concert at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Hartford-based, Albano Ballet Company will be performing its Summer Dance featuring Joseph Albano’s Swan Lake World Premiere in the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun on Thursday, August 6th at 7:00pm. The performance is set to feature a backdrop designed and painted in an art deco style by Broadway’s Leo Meyer. Swan Lake will showcase all new choreography by Albano, encapsulating the definite elements of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet.
Multi-platinum selling rock band NICKELBACK is forced to cancel all remaining dates of the second leg of the 2015 No Fixed Address North American tour due to lead vocalist Chad Kroeger being diagnosed with an operable cyst on his voice box. Kroeger will undergo surgery in 3 weeks following vocal rest ordered by doctors. This include's Mohegan Sun Arena's August 15th date.
Mohegan Sun Arena is excited to welcome Country trio The Band Perry for a Friday, September 25th concert, set for 7:30pm. They become another in a long line of Country acts, to go on to play the Arena after having performances in Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den!
Mohegan Sun had a huge throwback weekend back in February when The Pointer Sisters, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Club Nouveau played the Arena as part of the 80’s Extravaganza. Come September, the music is moving on to another great decade when Mohegan Sun Arena’s Best of 90s Concert rolls in, featuring Boyz II Men, Wilson Phillips, En Vogue and Coolio! The lineup will bring some of the biggest 90s hits to the stage, the likes of Wilson Phillip’s “Hold On,” Boyz II Men’s “MotownPhilly,” En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind” and Coolio’s “Fantastic Voyage.”

In what is sure to be one of the most talked about tours of the summer, Christina Perri and Colbie Caillat have announced plans for a North American co-headline tour. “The Girls Night Out, Boys Can Come Too Tour” kicks off Friday, July 10th at 7:30pm at Uncasville, CT’s Mohegan Sun Arena and then travels through late August. Support throughout comes from Rachel Platten. VIP presale ticketing begins Wednesday, April 8th; all remaining tickets will then be released to the general public starting on Friday, April 10th.
Beginning May 2nd, John Fogerty’s highly-anticipated worldwide “1969” tour will launch its U.S. dates with a special appearance, May 2nd, at the Beale Street Music Festival. Newly announced dates include stops in Hawaii, Baltimore, NY, Philly, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle, Denver and Uncasville, CT for a Thursday, June 25th concert. The U.S. portion of the “1969” tour is set to conclude on August 9th in Albuquerque. Mohegan Sun Arena’s concert is set for 7:30pm, and the CCR frontman will be playing treasured classics like “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary” and so many more from his catalogue of other all-time hits.
