Tickets on sale Friday, April 29th
Singer, songwriter, and musician Toby Keith returns to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:00pm on Saturday, July 30th for his 19th consecutive headlining tour.
Tickets are $85, $75, and a very limited amount at $25, and go on sale Friday, April 29th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, April 30th, subject to availability.
The familiar maxim of the triple threat–singer, songwriter, musician–does not begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. Keith’s most recent years are a remarkably accurate representation of his entire career. In 2021, he was bestowed the National Medal of Arts to honor his artistic achievements and contributions to the arts and culture of America, as well as inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and honored with the Academy of Country Music’s prestigious Merle Haggard Spirit Award for “following his own path, crafting great songs and epitomizing Merle’s spirit.” In October, he released a new studio album, Peso In My Pocket, that led with the single “Old School” which debuted at the highest radio entrance on Billboard’s airplay chart.
In 2018, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut No. 1 single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” with the re-release of his debut album (remastered with the addition of three vault tracks). From the moment that song was released and shot up the charts to become his first No. 1, the engine driving everything has been the music. Toby has sold more than 40 million albums and has 32 No. 1 hit singles. He wrote a #1 hit every year for 20 straight years, including “Who’s That Man,” “Me Too,” “How Do You Like Me Now?!,” and “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This.”
In 2018, Keith also released a new song, “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, The Mule. In 2015, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City.
Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally, and abroad. His annual golf classics fund the Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. His 11 USO Tours to date have enhanced the lives of nearly 256,000 troops and military families in 18 countries with more than 285 events and have been recognized with the Spirit of the USO Award (2014). And when a tornado ravaged his hometown, Toby Keith was the face of the community and helped shoulder the cleanup with the 2013 OK Twister Relief Concert. Triple threat? How about singer, songwriter, musician, producer, entertainer, humanitarian, Oklahoman and patriot.
Mohegan Sun Arena finished 2021 with its first “#1 Indoor Arena” ranking for its capacity in the world according to Pollstar and VenuesNow, ranked among the top 10 venues in the U.S. regardless of size based on ticket sales, and was named “2021 Innovator of the Year” by Celebrity Access for its ViacomCBS residency. In recent years, the “Most Beloved Venue in America” has also been the “#1 Casino Venue in the World,” “#1 Social Media Venue in the World” and a seven – time national award – winner for “Arena of the Year.” For more information on concerts and other great events, visit Mohegan Sun. ABOUT TOBY KEITH
The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, musician – doesn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. And Keith’s most recent months are a remarkably accurate representation of his entire career. In October 2019, he released Toby Keith Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years, a collection of his songs that features more than a dozen tracks with four newly recorded songs including “That’s Country Bro” and “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, The Mule. The album also includes Country’s most impactful viral event, “Red Solo Cup,” the video for which has received more than 53 million views and was named ACM “Video of the Year.” Rounding out his music-related accomplishments is his Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic fundraising event. Celebrating its sweet 16th year in 2019, that annual two-day bash has brought in a total of $13.7 million to support the charitable endeavors of The Toby Keith Foundation which includes aiding sick children and their families in Oklahoma.
From the moment he released his debut, hit single “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” the engine driving everything has been the music. He writes it. He arranges and produces it. And he releases it on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville. At the core is his songwriting, as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. That year Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, Willie Dixon, and other songwriters from all genres of music were also included in his induction class. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him “Songwriter/Artist of the Decade” and he is a three-time BMI “Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year.” His songs have received more than 95 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide, making him the organization’s top Country songwriter in terrestrial Country radio. Keith’s albums have sold more than 40 million copies. His tours have drawn more than a million fans each year for more than a decade straight, with expansions into Europe and Australia. The awards are too numerous to count and include “Artist of the Decade” nods from Billboard and the American Country Awards, as well as the ACM’s “Career Achievement” honor, Poet’s Award recipient, and twice their “Entertainer of the Year” award winner in back-to-back years. Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally and abroad. In addition to his effort and support with The Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral, his 11 USO Tours to date have enhanced the lives of nearly 256,000 troops and military families in 18 countries with more than 285 events, and have been recognized with the Spirit of the USO Award (2014). For starters.
Mohegan Sun Arena is now ranked consistently among the top venues in the world according to Billboard Magazine, Pollstar and VenuesNow. Mohegan Sun Arena is consistently ranked among the top three “Arenas in the World for its Size” and top 15 in the “World for All Size Venues.” The award – winning venue is the “#1 Casino Venue in the World,” “#1 Social Media Venue in the World” and a seven – time national award – winner for “Arena of the Year.” For more information on concerts and other great events, visit Mohegan Sun. ABOUT TOBY KEITH:
The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, and musician – doesn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. At the close of 2018, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut #1 single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” with the re-release of his debut album (remastered with the addition of three vault tracks), a week of events in Nashville including a BMI event to commemorate the milestone, two shows at the historic Grand Ole Opry, and a performance at the Nashville Symphony Ball where he received the prestigious “Harmony Award.” Keith also released a new song, “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, The Mule. Rounding out the year full of music-related accomplishments was his 15th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic, which raised more than $1 million, bringing the annual event’s total funds raised to $12.4 million. The funds support the charitable endeavors of The Toby Keith Foundation which includes aiding sick children and their families in Oklahoma.
Toby also honored the 25th anniversary of the release of his debut single with his aptly-named tour “Should’ve Been A Cowboy XXV Tour.” From the moment that song was released and shot up the charts to become his first #1, the engine driving everything has been the music. He writes it. He arranges and produces it. And he releases it on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville.
At the core is his songwriting, as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. Country’s most impactful viral event, “Red Solo Cup,” the video for which has received more than 50 million views and was named ACM “Video of the Year.”
Outside of music, his successes carry through to business endeavors including Wild Shot, his premium mezcal liquor products, and I Love This Bar and Grill restaurants including the original location which has been operating for more than a decade on the famed Las Vegas Strip. Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally and abroad. His golf classics fund The Toby Keith Foundation 2 and OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. His 11 USO Tours to date have enhanced the lives of nearly 256,000 troops and military families in 18 countries with more than 285 events, and have been recognized with the “Spirit of the USO Award” (2014). Many songs Keith has written while on the USO Tours for the military are featured on his 2017 album The Bus Songs, a 12-song collection of humorous, just-for-fun compositions that set a Billboard Comedy Albums chart record for a Country artist by holding the #1 spot for 11 consecutive weeks. And when a tornado ravaged his hometown, Toby Keith was the face of the community and helped shoulder the cleanup with the 2013 OK Twister Relief Concert. Triple threat? From his first #1 smash “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” to his upcoming album 35 mph Town, Toby Keith has been one of the most consistent self-directed hit makers of his era. From one of his previous collections, Clancy’s Tavern, the lead single, “Made In America,” topped the charts as one of the fastest rising songs in a long line of chart burners from Keith’s pen. The second hit, “Red Solo Cup,” has become the most remarkable and commercially successful Country single in recent memory with a viral video with more than 30 million views while having topped the top downloaded Country songs charts. The first single from his upcoming album, “Drunk Americans,” debuted at #1 Most Added on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase charts.
At the core of Toby’s unparalleled success is his songwriting, which has powered an astounding succession of hit songs to the tune of more than 85 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide. This summer Toby was inducted in to the Songwriters Hall Of Fame, and he has been honored by the Nashville Songwriters Association International with its “Songwriter/Artist of the Decade” distinction, is a three-time BMI “Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year” and was named the American Country Awards’
“Artist of the Decade.” His albums have sold more than 38 million copies, ranking him among the top-selling all-genre artists on Billboard’s Top 200 Artists of the Decade. Keith is also Billboard’s #1 Country Artist of the Decade and #1 Country Songwriter of the Decade. His tours, including 2014’s Shut Up And Hold On Tour, long sponsored by Ford Trucks, have drawn more than one million fans each year for the last decade. This year’s Good Times & Pick Up Lines Tour presented by Ford F-Series kicked off in May and continues through the year with shows in major cities including Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. But Toby’s most rewarding experiences, as exhibited in his continual devotion to them, come from giving back. Whether it’s helping sick children and their families in his native Oklahoma through the Toby Keith Foundation and their cost-free home, the OK Kids Korral, or supporting U.S. Troops including 11 USO Tours throughout the world, Keith has never lost touch with the most important things in life.
Mohegan Sun Arena is now ranked consistently among the top venues in the world according to Billboard Magazine, Pollstar and Venues Today. It has won “Casino of The Year” at the Country Music Awards in 2008 & 2010 and in 2013, was voted “Arena Of The Year” at the G2E Global Gaming Conference in Las Vegas.
