Mohegan Sun Raises Over $50,000 for the American Red Cross Charter Oak Chapter of Connecticut

UNCASVILLE, CT (November 10, 2008) – Mohegan Sun’s “Wild Wednesdays” charity cook-offs between local fire departments, including the Mohegan Tribal Fire Department and Mohegan Sun Chefs, raised $50,493 for the American Red Cross Charter Oak Chapter of Connecticut.  The cook-offs were held on Wednesdays between July 9th and August 27th on the rooftop of the Riverview Garage as part of Hot Summer Fun 2008 at Mohegan Sun.
Since 2002, the cook-offs have raised more than $260,000 for charities including, the Uniformed Firefighters Association for Widow’s and Children’s Fund of Greater New York, American Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services Fund, Habitat for Humanity and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
