UNCASVILLE, CT (December 1, 2008) – The worldwide best-seller Mary Higgins Clark has recruited her daughter for her latest holiday novel that is sure to join the list of fan favorites.  Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark have just released the new holiday caper Dashing Through The Snow, and Mohegan Sun in partnership with Spin Street is glad to welcome the two authors to our famed  “Winning Authors” series on Thursday, December 11th. A live discussion will take place in The Cabaret Theatre at 6:30pm.  Following the discussion will be a book signing to be held in The Shops Concourse beginning at 7:30pm.
Known for her artistic and captivating suspense writing, author Mary Higgins Clark hits the holiday season with another must-have mystery.  This time private investigator Regan Reilly heads out to the village of Branscombe, New Hampshire, where on the night before an annual holiday festival, a group of employees from a local market have learned they are the winners of one half of a 380 million dollar lottery ticket.  Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark do a great job of grabbing readers early as it is soon learned that the numbers that
won were that of fellow co-worker, Duncan. Who, strapped for cash decided not to pitch in for the lottery tickets this time around.  The group of friends knows it is only right to add Duncan into the cut, but upon learning that the other winning lottery ticket was only purchased one town over and after moments of jubilation, they realize that Duncan is nowhere to be found.  What follows is an exciting and revealing account of a town that has been known for being peaceful and festive come holiday time turned into a chilling epicenter of suspense, deceit and the search for truth.
As part of the “Winning Authors” event, a collaboration between Mohegan Sun and Spin Street, Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark will host a forum in The Cabaret Theatre.  Included will be a question and answer session where guests can ask  questions about the new book at 6:30pm. A book signing of Dashing Through The Snow will follow in the Spring Gateway at 7:30pm in The Shops concourse.  Both events are free and open to the public.
