Performance in the Arena on Saturday, May 9th
The Killers have announced a second leg of dates for their current tour in support of the band’s latest opus, Day & Age, which surfaced last fall.  The Killers will perform live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 9th at 8:00pm.
Tickets are $59.50 and $40.50 and go on sale Saturday, January 24th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.  Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll-free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.  Tickets may also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Sunday, January 25th subject to availability.
The Las Vegas-based group worked with Scottish electronic-music whiz Stuart Price (Madonna, Missy Elliot) on Day & Age, its third album and follow-up to 2006’s Sam’s Town (the band released Sawdust, a collection of studio outtakes and b-sides last year).  Released in September, the album peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and has sold almost a half-million copies in the US, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Worldwide, the set has sold 1.6 million copies.
