Authors Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough will be in The Cabaret Theatre on September 24th for a special edition of Mohegan Sun’s “Winning Authors”
Mohegan Sun will be hosting a very special “Winning Authors” event on Thursday, September 24th.  The event is part of the Connecticut Authors Trail featuring great authors like Karen E. Olson, Janice Law, Rosemary Harris and Daniel Waters who will be appearing at eastern Connecticut libraries all summer long.   The authors of the popular book Cooking Know-How, Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough make their way to The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun for their share of the trail and to discuss their new book on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00pm followed by a signing also taking place in The Cabaret Theatre.
Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough make up one of the most hard working and successful food writing duos in the world.  Bruce Weinstein is a graduate of Johnson & Wales and in 1997, released his first official book entitled Frozen Drinks With Or Without The Buzz.  In 1999, Bruce and Mark, whom at this point both called New York City home, joined powers to release The Ultimate Ice Cream Book which went on to sell 300,000 copies.  From there the rest is cook book history with popular titles like The Ultimate Party Drink Book (2000), The Ultimate Candy Book (2000), The Ultimate Shrimp Book (2002), The Ultimate Brownie Book (2002), The Ultimate Potato Book (2003), The Ultimate Muffin Book (2004), The Ultimate Chocolate Cookie Book (2004) and The Ultimate Frozen Dessert Book (2005).

Their most recent cooking guide entitled Cooking Know-How is full of easy techniques,  step by step photos and ideas for over 500 meals and is sure to help all those in need of some tips and tricks behind the stove.  Cooking Know-How is in stores now and will be available at Spin Street located in The Shops concourse at Mohegan Sun leading up to and on the day of this event.
The Connecticut Authors Trail focuses on some of the state’s most brilliant authors and takes pride in bringing together a diverse collection of writers whose styles cover everything from suspense thrillers to romantic novels and cooking expertise to local libraries across Eastern Connecticut. All programs are free and open the public. Passports will be available at the participating libraries throughout the summer as a guide to the author events. Have your passport stamped at each author event for a chance to qualify for an exclusive pre-program Meet & Greet with Chefs Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough on Thursday, September 24th in The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun.
