“Live Performances Presented by The Shops At Mohegan Sun” with Amanda Overmyer slated for Thursday, August 27th
UNCASVILLE, CT (August 6, 2009)— The Shops at Mohegan Sun present the one-of-a-kind rocker and former American Idol contestant Amanda Overmyer on Thursday, August 27th. This special event will feature a live, free performance in The Shops concourse at Mohegan Sun at 7:00pm, followed by a signing event at 7:30pm. Overmyer will be autographing merchandise and copies of her album Solidify which is available for purchase at Spin Street.
Amanda Overmyer is an incredible young artist who displays her Classic Rock roots every time she sings or takes the stage. Rock legends like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger and Credence Clearwater Revival are some of her biggest inspirations, and the world got a glimpse of her talent on Fox’s American Idol season seven. She recorded her debut album Solidify in a remarkable nine days directly following the network series. The album is a great blend of Rock infused tracks in which Overmyer lets her unmatched sound and vocal command take over with tracks like “Varmint Rifle,” “Love Me Like You Want” and “Hole In The Wall.” Overmyer will be on tour in the U.S. performing for fans throughout the summer.

UNCASVILLE, CT (August 5, 2009)— Up-and-coming Country group Gloriana will be making a special signing appearance at Mohegan Sun immediately following their show as the opening act for Taylor Swift on Friday, August 28th. The group will be signing copies of their self-titled debut smash album featuring the hit single “Wild at Heart.” The “Signings & Sightings” event will take place on the Spin Street Stage in The Shops at Mohegan Sun concourse. This “Signings & Sightings” event is sponsored by Spin Street and The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

Mohegan Sun and Spin Street will be hosting Darryl Worley as he takes part in an exclusive “Signings & Sightings” event on August 20th
UNCASVILLE, CT (August 4, 2009)— Spin Street and Mohegan Sun are playing host to one of Country music’s hottest artists Darryl Worley for an exclusive “Signings & Sightings” event. This exclusive personal appearance and CD signing will take place on the Spin Street Stage in The Shops at Mohegan Sun concourse immediately following his performance in the Wolf Den on Thursday, August 20th. This “Signings & Sightings” event is sponsored by Spin Street and The Shops at Mohegan Sun. Darryl Worley’s latest CD Sounds Like Life will be available and at sale price leading up to and on the day of this event at Spin Street.
Darryl Worley’s performance in the Wolf Den starts at 8:00pm and is free and open to the public. Seating is based on a first-come; first-serve basis.

Professional Bull Riders Live in the Arena Friday, October 16th – Sunday, October 18th
Mohegan Sun is excited to announce that the PBR’s 2009 Mohegan Sun Invitational presented by Cooper Tires will take place at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, October 16th – Sunday, October 18th. On the final regular season stop of the 2009 Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour, the world’s best bull riders will invade Mohegan Sun Arena where they will take on some of the rankest bulls the PBR has to offer.
Tickets are available for as little as $10.00 and increase to $25.00, $40.00 and $75.00 on Friday, October 16th. On Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, tickets will be $15.00, $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 7th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.
