2010-01-08

Celebrate seven wonderful decades on Sunday, March 7th
So Long Springfield, the daylong farewell to Guiding Light, enters 2010 with more stars, more action and even more fun.  This extraordinary event will take place live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, March 7th and will feature twelve of Guiding Light’s best-loved actors, introducing several that have not appeared at previous East Coast locations.  There are two very different sessions and an intimate brunch, with the daytime session taking place from 1:00pm – 5:00pm and the evening session taking place from 8:00pm – 10:30pm.  The intimate brunch is only available for fans who attend one of the two So Long Springfield sessions, and takes place from 10:30am – 12:00pm inside Birches Bar & Grill.
Tickets for the daytime session are $80.00.  Tickets for the evening session are $70.00 and a combo ticket for both sessions is being offered for $140.00.  Tickets for the daytime session and brunch are $190.00, tickets for the evening session and brunch are $180.00 and the combo ticket for both sessions and brunch is $250.00.  Tickets are available for purchase at the Mohegan Sun Box Office, at celebrityeventsgroup.com or call 1.866.364.0330.
Appearing at Mohegan Sun will be all of your favorite Guiding Light cast mates including Liz Keifer, Bradley Cole, Justin Deas, Grant Aleksander, Beth Chamberlin, Kim Zimmer, Marcy Rylan, Daniel Cosgrove, Robert Newman, Jerry ver Dorn, Jessica Leccia and Michael O’Leary.
The daytime session, from 1:00pm – 5:00pm, will include an informal question and answer session, followed by three solid hours to get hugs and take pictures with the actors.
The evening session, from 8:00pm – 10:30pm, will begin with an informal concert among friends, with musical and comedic performances by the actors that will leave fans wanting more.  Then the stars will interact with audience in an all new “game show” element, featuring prizes for the winners, and scene-acting from real scripts. (Participants are randomly selected from the audience.) The best is last…a “magical” sharing of behind-the-scenes stories that occurred on the set and between cast mates, shedding insight into their real relationships and feelings toward each other throughout the years.
During the bunch, from 10:30am – 12:00pm, enjoy even more up-close time with the actors, only available to fans that attend either (or both) of the So Long Springfield sessions.  During this intimate brunch, the actors will be interacting and enjoying the company of their fans in a relaxed atmosphere.  The brunch takes place in Birches Bar & Grill. Space is limited—so be one of the first to register!
The exciting So Long Springfield tour concludes with the pinnacle event; So Long Springfield at Sea. While cruising fans can spend five magical days with the stars, participating in lots of interactive activities with a great deal of time to get hugs, autographs and pictures from all of the actors. Fans will cruise aboard the Carnival Glory, departing July 31, 2010 through August 4, 2010 from New York.  Mohegan Sun will be giving away one cabin for two, to one lucky winner!
