Aspiring comedians from all across New England to compete for coveted title
One of the best stand-up comedy competitions in New England returns to The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun in 2012. Treehouse Comedy Productions and Mohegan Sun are proud to announce “The Funniest Comic in New England Contest,” which officially kicks off on Friday, February 17th when forty of New England’s funniest will compete for the title.
The Preliminary Rounds
Feb. 17th at 8:00pm – Newcomers Division – 20 comics compete, tickets $19.50 per person
10:15pm – Pro Division – 20 comics compete, tickets $20.00 per person
The Quarter Finals
Feb. 18th at 8:00pm – Pro Division – 12 comics compete, tickets $20.00 per person
10:15pm – Newcomers – 15 comics compete, tickets $19.50 per person
The Semi-Finals
Feb. 24th 8:00pm – Pro Division – 8 comics compete, tickets $22.00 per person
10:15pm – Newcomers Division – 10 comics compete, tickets $19.50 per person
The Finals
Feb 25th 8:00pm – Pro Division – 4 comics compete, tickets $27.50 per person
10:15pm – Newcomers Division – 5 comics compete, tickets $22.00 per person

Comedy club operators and affiliates include: Catch A Rising Star in Providence, Rhode Island, Dick Doherty’s Beantown Comedy Vault in Boston, Massachusetts, Headliners in New Hampshire and a Vermont affiliate is soon to be announced. Last year, upwards of $9,500 in cash & prizes were given to the winners. Two auditions have already been completed and additional auditions are being held now at the Ramada Inn in Stratford on December 29th and January 7th, 14th and also at Catch a Rising Star on January 11th and 18th, with more audition dates to be announced. Comics can request auditions by clicking the “contest” button on TreehouseComedy.com and follow the prompts. Audition DVDs can also be mailed to the Treehouse business office.
