Eric Clapton Plays Mohegan Sun As Part Of Major U.S. Tour

Guitar great comes to Arena on April 5th
Eric Clapton returns to Mohegan Sun Arena with special guest The Wallflowers as a part of  Clapton’s recently announced major U.S. tour on Friday, April 5th at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $185.00 and $135.00 and go on sale Monday, December 3rd through Ticketmaster at 10:00am.  Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.  Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Tuesday, December 4th, subject to availability.
In his more than 40 year career, Eric Clapton has received many honors.  He is the only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of both the Yardbirds and Cream and as a solo artist).  He has also won or shared in eighteen Grammy Awards.
Eric has also contributed to numerous artists’ albums over the decades.  The most well-known session occurred in September 1968, when he added guitar to George Harrison’s composition, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”  It is on the album, The Beatles (best known as The White Album).  He can also be heard on albums by Aretha Franklin, Steven Stills, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Plastic Ono Band (John Lennon and Yoko Ono), Ringo Starr, Sting and Roger Waters.
Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked 3rd in the U.S. and 4th in the world by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 and 2010 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.”  Venues Today also ranked Mohegan Sun Arena #4 in 2011 and ranked in the top six of “Top Stops of The Decade” in 2012.
