Wild World is the follow-up to 2013’s Bad Blood, which also debuted at #1 on the U.K. albums chart. Bad Blood has sold more than four million albums worldwide alongside 11 million singles.
“Good Grief,” the first single from Wild World, has more than 39 million streams globally on Spotify to date, including seven million in the U.S. alone. In the U.K., the track reached #1 on Apple Music’s Hot Tracks chart and the Shazam chart.
Dan Smith started Bastille alone in his bedroom five years ago, releasing 300 copies of debut single “Flaws/Icarus.” Joined by Chris Wood (drums), Will Farquarson (guitar) and Kyle Simmons (keyboards), the band lineup was complete. Bastille’s debut album, Bad Blood, contained the 5x platinum single “Pompeii” and the gold-certified tracks “Bad Blood” and “Flaws.” “Pompeii” topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, Adult Alternative Songs and Dance Club Songs charts.
