New Artwork by NYC Native Invites Guests to Strike a Pose and Spread Their Wings
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 15, 2026) – Mohegan Sun is inviting guests to capture their next Instagram-worthy moment with the debut of a vibrant new wings mural located just outside Beauty & Essex in Casino of the Sky. Designed to complement the restaurant’s Jewelry Box and bold aesthetic, the large-scale artwork serves as a colorful backdrop for photos and a new visual landmark within Mohegan Sun.
Guests are encouraged to pose in front of the mural, spread their wings and share their experience while enjoying one of Mohegan Sun’s most distinctive dining destinations. Visitors are also invited to post their photos on Instagram and tag @beautyandessexmohegan. The mural adds another layer of artistry and creativity to Beauty & Essex, creating a unique gathering space that celebrates self-expression, style and memorable moments.
The mural was created by Ian Porter, a talented muralist, designer, and artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Known for his ability to create immersive visual worlds, Porter brings years of professional theatre experience and a lifelong passion for the arts to his work. His background in scenic design, construction and painting allows him to transform collaborative concepts into visually compelling large-scale installations that leave a lasting impression on visitors.
