IN DETAIL: Just days prior to the 10th anniversary of Bowzer’s Ultimate Doo-Wop Party in Mohegan Sun Arena, star of the hit show and band of the same name Sha Na Na, as well as lead singer/co-founder of Bowzer & The Stingrays, Jon “Bowzer” Bauman will be inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame. Bowzer has hosted an incredible twenty-two shows at Mohegan Sun since the Arena opened its doors in 2001. This special induction ceremony will be held outside the main entrance of the Arena, near the Mohegan Sun Box Office.
The award seeks to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All of the individuals inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena. Mohegan Sun Arena was ranked the 4th busiest venue in 2009 by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.”
