UNCASVILLE, CT (November 16, 2021) – Thanksgiving arrives on Thursday, November 25th and guests are invited to indulge in various can’t miss specials and deals at Mohegan Sun. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge, BALLO Italian Restaurant, Michael Jordan’s Steak House, Hash House a Go Go, and other popular dining options are ready to let you leave the kitchen behind and make your Thanksgiving plans with Mohegan Sun!
The all-new TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge gets the party started with a prix fixe meal of juicy roasted turkey with gochujang glaze and garlic pepper gravy, mushroom & ginger stuffing, butternut squash & asparagus dumplings, cranberry beurre blanc, and a mixed vegetable tempura with sesame honey sauce. Dessert is an Apple Miso Pie with Ginger Ice Cream. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge is open on Thanksgiving from 5:00pm – 10:00pm.
The Thanksgiving meal at BALLO Italian Restaurant starts with a tasty Bruschetta of grilled sourdough, whipped ricotta cheese, grilled eggplant, crispy baby artichokes, golden raisin, roasted butternut squash and agrodolce. The entrée is your choice of either garganelli bolognese or a 10 oz. pan-seared duck breast served with parmesan polenta, roasted root vegetables, wild mushrooms and a chianti demi glaze.
Dessert is decadent caramel apple crème brûlée. BALLO Italian Restaurant is open Thanksgiving Day from 3:00pm – 10:00pm.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House is serving a three-course meal that starts with a colossal quinoa beet salad composed of goat cheese, shaved Brussels sprouts, and pomegranate dressing. The main course features a roasted turkey breast parmentier, turkey jus, sweet & sour cranberries, green bean casserole and stuffing. Dessert is refreshing banana chocolate bread pudding with coffee ice cream.
Over at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, families can start with a hearty Thanksgiving chowder full of turkey, mixed vegetables, potatoes, and dried cranberries. Dinner is a classic turkey dinner served with succulent roasted turkey, haricot verts, stuffing, gravy, smashed red bliss potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Dessert is a delicious banana chocolate bread pudding with coffee ice cream.
Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House also has great selections for a Thanksgiving meal. Turkey sliders are served full of house-roasted turkey, cheddar cheese, horseradish and cranberry sauce on a brioche bun. A traditional roasted turkey dinner served with roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, sautéed peas, green beans, carrots, cauliflower and apple stuffing is available for those who want to feel like they are at home. Dessert is a delightful chocolate bourbon pecan pie with whipped cream, bourbon caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
Todd English’s Tuscany is offering a prix fixe menu of delightful Thanksgiving options as well. The first course features a flavor packed wood-roasted pear and gorgonzola salad, candied walnuts, pomegranate reduction, arugula and balsamic vinaigrette. The main course is a sage-brined turkey, sausage potato stuffing, roasted root vegetables, sweet potato with pecan crumble, bacon dijon brussels sprouts, grappa cranberry sauce and giblet gravy.
Guests can close out this great meal with a pecan bread pudding with vanilla gelato for dessert. Todd English’s Tuscany is open Thanksgiving day from 1:00pm – 7:00pm.
Guests can also find specials to being thankful for at Hash House A Go Go. You can enjoy a roasted turkey dinner with house-roasted turkey topped with a rich turkey gravy with cornbread stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce. For the savory pie lovers, a rosemary black pepper crust big o’ turkey pot pie filled with roasted turkey, shaved sweet corn, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, red potatoes and bubbling pan gravy is available to cure all of your Thanksgiving cravings.
Those who love seafood can stop by Jasper White’s Summer Shack and enjoy a non-traditional Thanksgiving feast. The Summer Shack Clambake is full of lobster, clams, mussels, corn on the cob, potatoes, chorizo and an egg. Visit the Skyrise Food Court location and enjoy a roast turkey, stuffing and cranberry mayo sandwich with gravy dip. Fall themed cookie boxes are also available.

7th annual event benefiting veterans and active duty military to take place in the Uncas Ballroom
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 11, 2021) – Vets Rock, a free event where Mohegan Sun and the community come together to celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources, returns Saturday, November 13th. Special services featured in the Uncas Ballroom include a career fair presented by Mohegan Sun, Veteran Service Organizations, Educational Services, Save-A-Suit, and companies looking to provide benefits to veterans and military members.
Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2021 will begin with an opening ceremony hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH in The Shops concourse at 11:00am. The opening ceremony includes a salute to veterans and active duty military personnel remarks by invited dignitaries, and a display by the Tribal Colour Guard.
Vets Rock Expo
From 12:00pm – 6:00pm, guests are invited to partake in the free Vets Rock Expo in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. The expo features over 50 veteran services organizations and a career fair hosted by Mohegan Sun. The Save-A-Suit program will also be on-hand, outfitting up to 100 veterans with professional attire. Pre-registration through the website is required to participate in Save-A-Suit. Guests can also donate professional attire at the entrance of the Uncas Ballroom.

As a thank you to our troops, both past and present, Mohegan Sun regularly offers a military discount to all active duty military personnel, veterans and military dependents at more than 40 shops and dining locations across property.
The Mohegan Tribe also provided 100 seats to the Mohegan Sun Arena’s Dashboard Confessional event. If you’re a veteran or active duty member looking for tickets to the Saturday night event, go to the website and register. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prior to the excitement on Saturday, there will be a Veterans Day key chain distribution at the Winter, Summer & Riverview entrances on Thursday November 11th.

Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus, housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 7, 2021) – This fall Mohegan Sun is set to host two hiring events on Wednesday, October 13th and Wednesday, October 27th. 
Employment opportunities are open in Food & Beverage, Event Support, Security, Marketing, VIP, Accounting, Hotel, Retail and more. Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus while all housekeeping and Barista-Starbucks positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus. Bonuses will be paid out in increments.
Both of these hiring events slated for October 13th and 27th will take place from 10:00am – 5:00pm located in the Earth Expo & Convention Center.

Uncasville, CT (August 26, 2021) –Sun BBQ Fest is back at Mohegan Sun, as guests can once again celebrate and enjoy amazing barbecue, cold beer, hand-crafted cocktails, live music, and so much more. The 8th Annual Sun BBQ Fest is a two day event taking place in the Winter Parking Lot on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Nationally-acclaimed BBQ teams will be on hand for the People’s Choice Competition that allows festival goers to try their incredible food. Guests can also participate in the annual Wing and Rib Competition. Sun BBQ Fest also includes a World Food Championship-sanctioned barbecue competition with teams participating in barbeque, dessert, and burger contests. Over the course of two days, more than $25,000 in prize money will be awarded!
Tickets for Sun BBQ Fest $5.00 per day and on sale now through sunbbqfest.com and at Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids ages six and under receive free admission. Admission tickets and $1.00 tickets for food and beverages will be also be available for purchase at the festival entrance. Tickets are required to be used to purchase food and beverage from bar, vendors and BBQ partners.
Ribs & Wings Galore
Guests can feast throughout the day by participating in the People’s Choice Contest. World Food Championship teams will offer $2.00 BBQ samples all weekend long, and guests can vote for the best in show. Voting will be open from Saturday at 11:00am until Sunday at 3:00pm and the winners will be announced on Sunday at 4:00pm.
In addition to the People’s Choice competition, guests can indulge at the Rib and Wing Challenges. All World Food Championship competitors will be given racks of ribs and loads of chicken wings to prepare in any flavor they wish. For $1 each, guests can taste any ribs or wings and help determine who reigns supreme. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening prior to the fireworks show, and a portion of the proceeds from both competitions benefit Operation BBQ Relief, an organization dedicated to providing meals to disaster-stricken communities across the U.S. The Rib Challenge Tent is open to guests on Saturday from Noon – 2:30pm, and the Wing Challenge Tent is open on Saturday from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

Mohegan Sun will feature some can’t miss dining specials
for Father’s Day, taking place on Sunday, June 20th. These dining specials will include Jumbo Surf & Turf at Michael Jordan’s Steak House, a Cowboy Ribeye at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill just next door and Chipotle BBQ Ribs at Mohegan Sun’s popular Mexican restaurant, SolToro. With the NBA Playoffs going on and the MLB in full swing, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is a great place to spoil Dads on Sunday, June 20th. This venue will be featuring Steak Bruschetta as well as a Cowboy Ribeye that delivers a 16oz bone-in Ribeye steak with roasted tomatoes, chimichurri and a loaded potato. The hiring events on Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, June 10th will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm in the Earth Ballroom, located in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. A third hiring event will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24th in The Cabaret Theatre, located in Casino of the Sky.
