Featured Whiskey
When it comes to whiskey, Mohegan Sun’s Select Barrel Series will offer up only the best. Available at Clay Pipe Cigar Bar, novelle and TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge will be highlights like Breckenridge Bourbon, which is an 86-proof bourbon with a deep honey-amber hue and enticing aromas of butterscotch, candied orange and crisp apple. Another sought after whiskey featured as part of the Select Barrel Series is Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select and this famous whiskey provides rich caramel notes intertwined with toasted oak and hints of ripe banana. The palate delivers layers of vanilla and warm baking spices, complemented by notes of roasted nuts. One more popular whiskey featured in the Select Barrel Series is Litchfield Bourbon Whiskey which is crafted in Litchfield, Connecticut. Aged in #4 charred barrels, the 92-proof bourbon gives off a beautiful amber hue and releases inviting aromas of vanilla, butterscotch, and a hint of apple. Rich flavors of caramel and vanilla with subtle notes of pepper and cinnamon lead to a smooth, balanced finish on the palate.
In addition to the top-notch selection of whiskeys, Mohegan Sun’s Select Barrel Series also tees up a phenomenal local gin available at Clay Pipe Cigar Bar and novelle. The gin highlighted in this series is Waypoint Barrel Aged Gin which is crafted in Bloomfield, Connecticut. This gin is a 92-proof spirit that bridges the gap between classic gin and aged whiskey and is distilled with juniper, citrus, and lemon verbena. The gin is then rested in oak barrels to add depth and warmth which results in a fresh juniper and citrus aroma with vanilla, caramel, botanical spice, and a hint of lemon verbena.
Featured Rum
When it comes to rum, the Select Barrel Series stays on point with a Cruzan 5-Year-Old Rum. Available at Bobby’s Burger Palace, Clay Pipe Cigar Bar, and novelle, this highlighted rum is an 80-proof blend of rums, aged a minimum of five years in old oak barrels. Light bakery notes with hints of oak and honey are present to the nose with a harmonious blend of rich vanilla wood tones, cherry, and cinnamon, with a smooth caramel finish to the taste. This rum embodies the laid-back spirit of the Caribbean with its balanced profile.
Featured Tequila
The featured tequila in Mohegan Sun’s Select Barrel Series features a single barrel unique expression available at Clay Pipe Cigar Bar and novelle. The tequila highlighted in this series is Corazón Reposado Tequila, by Casa San Matías and aged in Colonel E.H. Taylor bourbon barrels. It’s a distinctive fusion of tequila tradition and bourbon character that is aged for over 10 months. The aroma is a mix of vanilla, butterscotch, and dried fig, with a hint of black pepper. On the palate, notes of caramel, dark spice, gentle oak, and a touch of salinity, provide a smooth finish.

Three days of pickle-themed fun, food, music, and contests kicks off Friday, July 25th
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 2, 2025) – Pickle lovers are invited to relish in one of this summer’s most flavorful events! The Connecticut Pickle Festival will be a three-day celebration at the Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center starting Friday, July 25th and lasting through Sunday, July 27th. Local DJs & Bands Take Center Stage on Saturday, August 16th for a Full Day of Live Music, Food, and Fun from 1:00pm to 11:00pm
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 12, 2025) – Get ready to soak up the sounds of summer at the inaugural Backyard Beats, happening Saturday, August 16th on the Sun Patio at Mohegan Sun. From 1:00pm to 11:00pm, this all-day celebration will spotlight an exciting lineup of local bands, bringing high-energy performances and more. Guests can enjoy great music, along with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and an atmosphere that’s perfect for kicking back or dancing the day away.
Tickets are currently available for purchase through Ticketmaster and the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Guests are encouraged to secure their admission in advance, as pricing will increase on the day of the event.
To complement the music, guests can enjoy popular bites from local food trucks, including Hungry Lion and Philly’s, while taking advantage of $4 beer specials available throughout the event. Whether guests come for the music, the food, or the atmosphere, Backyard Beats promises an unforgettable summer experience.
Guests will be able to reserve a fire pit in advance on UrVenue for up to eight guests. Each set within the reservation will be $10 and include at least a 90-minute reservation and cocktail service. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, feel free to bring your own chairs! Guests are not permitted to bring coolers or outside food/beverages. Mohegan Sun launched The Crafty Slice last summer near The Sun Patio in Casino of the Earth, and is excited to announce a second Crafty Slice location in Casino of the Sky has officially opened. Mohegan Sun will also open a vibrant tropical themed Tiki Bar Pop-Up in the Sky Tower hotel lobby, offering guests even more ways to enjoy summertime drinks and a great vibe. Additionally, Mohegan Sun’s Sun Patio offers guests a relaxing and sleek outdoor bar open Thursday through Sunday!
The new Crafty Slice eatery expands on the popular concept’s signature offerings — a variety of pizza, craft beer, and other delicious food options on the go. The second location features an expanded menu, additional seating, and exclusive summer specials. Highlighted menu options include pizza by the slice starting at $5, from cheese to vegetarian to pepperoni and combo slices with sausage, bacon and meatball. Other grab-and-go offerings include churro bites, Sabrett’s Hot Dogs and the famous Walking Taco.
Complementing this launch is the introduction of an all-new summertime Tiki Bar, located in Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower lobby. Opening on Thursday, June 26th, The Tiki Bar will play island-influenced tunes and serve exotic cocktails like the Lava Flow (Bacardí Coconut, Fruitful Strawberry, Fruitful Banana, Pineapple & Orange Juice) and The Pineapple Upside-Down Cake (Jim Beam Pineapple Whiskey, Orange Juice, Lemon Sour, Cherry Float).
