UNCASVILLE, CT (February 2, 2021) – Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and Mohegan Sun is celebrating with dining and retail specials for all guests to admire. All specials are valid on Sunday, February 14th unless otherwise specified.

Guests can experience “love at first bite” with Mohegan Sun’s premier restaurants!

Valentine’s Day specials at BALLO Italian Restaurant include crispy artichoke salad with arugula, pickled shallots, chilies, golden raisins, parmigiana and lemon vinaigrette for $14.00; House-made short rib cannelloni with parmigiana and ricotta for $16.00; and Zuppa di Pesce, made with bay scallops, littleneck clams, Prince Edward Island mussels, shrimp, mezzi rigatoni, tomatoes and basil for $49.00. Complete the meal with Nutella cannoli topped with crushed hazelnuts for $11.00.

A V-Day feast at Michael Jordan’s Steak House starts with a choice between six oysters on the half shell, cucumber and salmon caviar for $21.00, or Mishima Reserve Ranch Wagyu medallions, colossal shrimp and white miso aioli for $28.00. For the entrée, choose the Halibut a la Plancha with mushroom miso brodo, whipped potato, asparagus and shiitake bacon for $46.00 or a coffee-rubbed tomahawk 30 oz. ribeye with bacon onion jam for $145.00. Dessert is strawberry shortcake with angel food cake, strawberry marmalade and topped with whipped cream for $11.00. The Valentine’s Day cocktail at Michael Jordan’s Steak House is a cherries & chocolate martini made with cherry vodka, chocolate liqueur and cream for $14.00.

Guests are sure to fall in love with the specials at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill. First up is a plate of steamed mussels with chorizo, white wine, lemon and garlic toast for $15.00. The main course is a USDA prime 16 oz. ribeye with bourbon barbecue sauce, fried onion straws and loaded mashed potatoes for $49.00, or seafood stuffed salmon with Black Pearl salmon, seafood stuffing, hollandaise sauce and pesto mashed potatoes for $32.00. Strawberry shortcake brings the meal together – guests can enjoy angel food cake with strawberry marmalade and topped with whipped cream for $11.00.

A decadent Valentine’s Day meal at SolToro starts with avocado jicama salad with red, green and yellow peppers and cilantro vinaigrette for $12.00, or a Tlayuda (also known as a “Mexican pizza”) made of toasted tortilla, refried beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato, Oaxaca cheese and Arbol tomatillo salsa for $14.00. The main course is scallops arroz con puerco with pan-seared scallops, crispy pork belly, saffron rice and pineapple pico de gallo for $36.00. For dessert, guests can indulge in a brownie sundae made with a house-made brownie, dulce de leche ice cream and chocolate sauce for $8.00. Valentine’s Day at Comix Roadhouse includes dinner and a show. Guests can receive a free bottle of wine and dessert with the purchase of two signature entrées. Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with dining and retail specials across property

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 16, 2020) – Mohegan Sun is sharing holiday cheer with dining and retail specials for Christmas and New Year’s. Guests can have a festive feast at their favorite restaurant and pick up the perfect gift for a loved one in The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

Christmas dinner at BALLO Italian Restaurant starts with roasted candy stripe beets and mozzarella. For the entrée, enjoy pan seared duck breast and sweet potato & maple bacon tortellini. End the meal on a sweet note with delicious snickerdoodle cannoli. BALLO Italian Restaurant is open on Christmas Day from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.

Guests who dine with Hash House A Go Go on Christmas Day have a variety of delicious options to choose from:

  • The peppermint bark pancake is back! Enjoy a famous Hash House pancake cooked with crushed candy cane and milk chocolate chips, topped with whipped cream
  • The cream cheese stuffed French toast has cream cheese sandwiched between two pieces of milk bread, dipped in banana cream batter, grilled to perfection and topped with a lemon curd sauce
  • A mouthwatering house-cooked prime rib will be served with garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, au jus and horseradish cream
  • The shrimp scampi pasta includes sautéed gulf shrimp atop a bed of linguini pasta, tossed with a scampi butter, bay shrimp, white wine, roasted red pepper and green onions

Dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Todd English’s Tuscany includes braised veal osso buco and risotto alla Milanese. Guests can also enjoy a decadent New Year’s Eve dinner that features a 16 oz. bone-in prime ribeye, butter poached Alaskan king crab, EVOO silk potatoes, asparagus and Béarnaise. Dinner service is available from 4:00pm – 8:15pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and from 4:30pm – 8:15pm on New Year’s Eve. Lunch service will not be offered.

Pasta Vita is offering Christmas and holiday catering. In addition to their holiday menu, Pasta Vita features over 100 freshly prepared entrées, vegetable dishes, salads, sauces, soups, breads and desserts, as well as over 25 varieties of the company’s famous specialty-striped ravioli. Pasta Vita has two locations at Mohegan Sun – the Riverview Entrance of Casino of the Sky and right across from the Summer Valet Entrance.

At Michael Jordan’s Steak House, dinner starts with a miniature beef Wellington with Bordelaise sauce. For the main course, choose between the “Prime 23” – a 23 oz. bone-in prime rib, two bacon scallops and two sautéed shrimp, or “The G.O.A.T” – a 23 oz. bone-in prime rib, double cut lamb chops, a 1/2 lb. of King crab legs with black garlic butter and a roasted 6 oz. lobster tail with butter and charred lemon. Complete either meals with a slice of red velvet cake. Both of these surf and turf feasts can be paired with an eggnog martini, made of Van Gogh vanilla vodka, citrus liqueur, eggnog, nutmeg and cinnamon. This dinner special is available on Christmas Day only.

MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is serving up a three-course meal exclusively on Christmas Day that starts with pasta fagioli. The entrée is prime rib with mashed potatoes, asparagus and natural jus. Dessert is a delectable white chocolate bread pudding. This three course meal pairs perfectly with the white chocolate peppermint martini made with Mozart white chocolate liqueur, Van Gogh vanilla vodka, peppermint, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Over at SolToro, Christmas dinner starts with Mexican street corn on the cob, complete with crème elote, queso fresco and tajín. The main course is a combination of two different fajitas, options include chicken, shrimp or steak. Dessert is a rich chocolate flan. The holiday cocktail at SolToro is a refreshing coconut cranberry margarita with sugared cranberries and rosemary. This special is offered on Christmas Day only.

Mohegan Sun Reopens Popular Mexican Restaurant, SolToro and Launches new Gift Shop, Rove Home

The popular tech & electronics store, bluwire, also reopens September 11th

UNCASVILLE, CT (September 3, 2020) – Mohegan Sun is home to more than 80 dining, nightlife and retail locations across a 5.5 million square-foot resort, casino and entertainment destination nestled along the Thames River in southeastern Connecticut. While the majority of these locations have reopened, there are still some that have been planning their return, including the Mexican restaurant, SolToro and tech retailer, bluwire. SolToro will open this Friday, September 4th, along with the official launch of a new Mohegan Sun retail outlet – Rove Home, while bluewire reopens Friday, September 11th

Rove Home opens this Friday at Noon as an all-new gift shop at Mohegan Sun, located next Rove Outfitters, and is inspired by all things comfortable, creative and welcoming. Guests will be able to pick up the latest home trends and perfect gift for any occasion at this exciting new location. This new outlet is owned and operated by Innowave Marketing Group, who also operate additional locations in tThe Shops at Mohegan Sun (Splendeur – A Luxury Boutique and Rove Outfitters).  Hours for Rove Home will be Sunday, 10:00am – 6:00pm, Monday – Thursday, 11:00am – 7:00pm and Friday & Saturday, Noon – 8:00pm.

One of the most thrilling and delicious restaurants at Mohegan Sun is certainly the Michael Jordan owned Mexican restaurant, SolToro, reopens this Friday at 4:00pm. Guests will be able to once again enjoy fantastic margaritas, delicious guacamole and incredible Mexican dishes like Filet Mignon Fajitas with caramelized peppers and onions and grilled blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos.

Along with all the restaurants & bars at Mohegan Sun that have now reopened, reduced seating at SolToro will be in place to allow for physical distancing. Hours will be 4:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 4:00pm – 9:00pm on Sunday.

bluwire, which offers all the high quality technology and ultimate portability brands like Bang & Olufsen, Mophie, Motorola, JBL and Harman-Kardon, is officially set for reopen next Friday, September 11th. Mohegan Sun Enters Next Phase of Reopening, Including the Return of BALLO Italian Restaurant, Comix Roadhouse, The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House and More

Today marks a new milestone in Mohegan Sun’s reopening as a wider range of dining, shopping, offerings and amenities reopen or expand hours and services. Popular stops like BALLO Italian Restaurant, Jasper White’s Summer Shack, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill,  The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House, The Race Book and Comix Roadhouse (+ Comix Comedy Club) all return this week, with physical distancing & safety protocols in place. Additional retailers in the 130,000 square-foot Shops at Mohegan Sun also reopen, and Sky Tower hotel is now also accepting more reservations.

Mohegan Sun implemented more than $1 million in new safety measures, some of which include non-invasive thermal temperature checks at all entrances, a cutting edge UV lighting system, robust cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and plexiglass dividers at various locations.   • Comix Roadhouse reopens this Thursday, June 18th. Comix Roadhouse will be open late afternoon to late night, Thursday – Saturday.
  • Comix Comedy Club also returns this weekend with comedian Corey Rodrigues performing on Friday and Saturday evenings. Limited capacity and additional health & safety standards will be implemented.
  • BALLO Italian Restaurant will reopen for take-out and dine-in on Friday, June 19th. This restaurant will initially be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00pm – 11:00pm and Sundays from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.
  • Bobby’s Burger Palace is already open for take-out, and beginning today, June 17th, sit-down dining returns.  BBPs hours are Noon – 9:00pm Sunday – Thursday and Noon – 11:00pm Friday and Saturday.
  • The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House reopens on today, June 17th and initial hours of operation will be Noon – 8:00pm, Wednesday – Sunday.
  • Mohegan Sun Race Book, home to thrilling live horse racing in a setting equipped with an array of flat screens up to 65 feet, reopens on Friday, June 19th, just in time for the Belmont Stakes taking place the following day on Saturday, June 20th. Adjusted hours for the Race Book will be 11:00am -10:00pm Sunday – Thursday and 11:00am – Midnight on Friday & Saturday.
  • MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is open daily from Noon – 8:00pm, and today begins offering dine-in service again while continuing take-out options as well.
  • Todd English’s Tuscany will now be open for dining inside with take-out options still available. Sit-down dining on the terrace outside Tuscany and drinks at the Taughannick Falls Bar are already open.
  • Jasper White’s Summer Shack will reopen for dine-in and takeout today, June 17th. Summer Shack’s hours will be 4:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday –Friday, Noon – 11:00pm on Saturday and Noon – 10:00pm on Sunday. (Summer Shack Express in Casino of the Earth returns on June 24th).
  • Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana reopened on Friday, June 12th for take-out, and starting today, will offer dine-in service. Frank Pepe Pizzeria is open daily.
  • Pasta Vita, which has locations in both Casino of the Sky and Casino of the Earth, is open Monday – Thursday, 10:00am – 6:00pm and 10:00am – 9:00pm, Friday – Sunday.

*Restaurants and bars will reduce seating to allow for physical distancing during dining. Tables at restaurants will also not be set until guests arrive and signage will be present after a table is disinfected before a new seating. Reservations are encouraged.

Sky Tower, Mohegan Sun’s iconic 34-story hotel, is also opening up more rooms and has begun welcoming guests from all 50 states or wherever they may be visiting from. Mohegan Sun’s hotel safety and distancing measures include every other check-in stations, disinfecting of keys and carts after each use, enhanced and thorough cleaning protocols including sanitization fogging after each stay, as well as  continued closures of pools and gyms, and more.

Around 20 locations in the Shops at Mohegan Sun, which consist of more than 35 high-end retail outlets in total, have already safely opened, with more expected in the coming weeks.  Beginning on Monday, June 22nd, Victoria’s Secret will reopen and nearby, the children’s play-scape and arcade, Kids Quest & Cyber Quest, return to business on Wednesday, June 17th at 5:00pm, with certain age restrictions and safety policies in place. The Mohegan Sun Golf Club (MSGC), the 18-hole championship golf course located a short drive from Mohegan Sun and features all-new practice areas and a driving range, is open for the season. Valet parking remains closed at Mohegan Sun, as does The Poker Room, Seasons Buffett, novelle, SolToro, New Belgium Tap Room, GAME ON, the Wolf Den, Mohegan Sun Arena, Bean & Vine Café & Wine Bar, Pools, Gyms and Bus transportation. Smoking will also continue to be prohibited indoors. Designated smoking areas are available at various outside locations.

Star-Studded Valentine’s Day Weekend At novelle Includes Kim Zolciak & Kroy Bierman From Bravo’s Don’t Be Tardy And Kittenish Brunch Hosted By Jessie James & Eric Decker

The Valentine’s edition of Famous Friday features dining specials that include a half-dozen roasted Blue Point oysters for $16.00, Parisian gnocchi for $30.00, shellfish-crusted filet mignon for $52.00, and complimentary chef-made desserts. Mohegan Sun’s Award-Winning “Back of House” is Back for More!

The East Coast’s Leading Integrated Entertainment Resort Reveals More of its Inner Workings with Brand New Episodes of its Unprecedented and Innovative Digital TV Series. UNCASVILLE, CT (October 2, 2019) – Following an award-winning year and more than 10 million views during its first two trailblazing seasons, Mohegan Sun announces the roll out for season three of its original digital TV series, “Back of House,” giving viewers an insightful and in-depth look at what it takes to operate one of the largest resort destinations in the United States. Beginning on Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m. (EST), “Back of House” will feature all-new episodes on backofhouse.tv once a week every Thursday through November 14, with six episodes in total. Additionally, to celebrate the launch of “Back of House” season three, Mohegan Sun will host six weekly “enter to win” contests based on each episode’s story line. Viewers will want to tune-in for their chance to win all-encompassing prizes from the all-encompassing entertainment destination.

Introducing new cast members and bringing back a few familiar faces, “Back of House” season three follows the professional lives of six Mohegan Sun employees, including the resort’s Creative Events Manager, Executive Pastry Chef, Multimedia Designer, Director of Asian Communications, Public Events Planner and General Manager of novelle – Mohegan Sun’s new ultra-lounge venue which opened this summer. From planning large-scale VIP events to preparing kitchen staff for a massive gathering, “Back of House” reveals how Mohegan Sun staff transform behind-the-scenes operations into fun and memorable experiences for every guest, while demonstrating their collaborative relationships and the “wow” factor that comes with working at one of the world leaders in resort entertainment.

According to Chef Lynn, “we always do more than needed, and I want to see the best of the best.” Erica a cake lover, and Jeff, a cake hater, are both recruited to help pick the winner!  See how it all turns out.
  • Episode 2: Silent Panicker
    It’s that time of year when Sun BBQ Fest and Party on the Rooftop fall on the same weekend. Ouch! With so many moving parts, including outside vendors, and internal departments alike, Andre and his team are on a mission to make both events run as smooth as possible, and of course, create memorable experiences for the guests. Will his biggest problem be tight deadlines or his desire for perfection!?  Tune in to find out.
  • Episode 3: Asian Beauty
    One of the biggest events on Cindy’s annual calendar is the Asian Beauty Pageant, which kicks-off late in the evening and runs over night. It’s a large-scale production for the entertainment team and countless other employees, as well. Cindy’s all-night balancing act juggles guests, co-workers, contestants, superstar performers, and even her own shoes.  How will she survive?
  • Episode 4: The Final 48!?
    48 Hours before novelle officially opens, and Joe is either sweating bullets or as cool as ice; it’s hard to know for sure – Jeff can’t even tell! New to Mohegan Sun, Joe is feeling the pressure of making a good first impression. His years of experience in nightlife have prepared him for this moment.  Will he and his team come through?
  • Episode 5: Red Carpet Rollout
    Celebrity handler Lindsay Cady is feistier than ever and attributes the temperament to the last stage of her pregnancy. How will this go down? Is she able to deliver a big-name celebrity for the opening of novelle, or will she be delivering something else?!
