The Gingerbread Bar | Open seven days a week from Thursday, December 4th – Monday, January 5th, The Gingerbread Bar, located in the Sky Tower lobby, creates a warm festive atmosphere and endless holiday fun. Guests can sip on festive spirits and holiday-inspired cocktails while sitting by the fireplace with friends and family. Featured cocktails include the Gingerbread Martini, Partridge in a Pear Tree, Winter Wonderland Mimosa, Berry Christmas Eggnog, Fireside Margarita, and Citrus Christmas.
Santa Photo Opportunities | From 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Fridays, December 5th, 12th, and 19th, guests of all ages can head over to The Gingerbread House at The Shops at Mohegan Sun for a special photo opportunity with Santa! On Friday, December 12th, guests 21 years of age or older can come and meet the man who is #1 on the naughty list – Grumpy Santa! From 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Grumpy Santa will be trading cookies and milk for cocktails and selfies with every stranger he meets at The Gingerbread Bar.
Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan | It’s time to share holiday magic! On the Sun Patio on Sunday, December 14th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm guests can take free family photos with Santa and have the moment printed on a postcard. At the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan, guests can browse the gifting shop to receive a complimentary bag while supplies last and donate to No Kid Hungry to receive a library of fun holiday recipes. Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting | Mohegan Sun’s Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 7th will have very special guests, Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson of the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire. The duo will take on the honors of lighting up a massive Christmas Tree on the Sun Patio. This holiday event takes place from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Also featured at Mohegan Sun’s Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting is a curated Holiday Market offering the perfect seasonal finds and handcrafted gifts from well-known local vendors. A hot chocolate bar also returns to the annual festival, as well as festive cocktails at the Sun Patio Bar for those 21+. SantaCon at Mohegan Sun | On Friday, December 12th, guests can celebrate the season with SantaCon at Mohegan Sun, a ticketed bar crawl and evening of specials that transforms the night into a festive journey of flavor, fun, and giving. SantaCon at Mohegan Sun isn’t just about the drinks – there’s plenty of festive fun, food and holiday cheer for everyone to enjoy! For the first time, world-champion David Ortiz will host his very own Sun Wine & Food Festival event when Toast with the Host featuring Big Papi arrives on the night of Friday, January 23rd – celebrating Ozama Rum and mingling with fans! Following a full slate of world-class events on Saturday, January 24th, a special Celebrity Chef After Party will start at 10:30pm that evening! And finally, Brunch In The Shed will take place from 10:00am -2:00pm to close out an incredible weekend of food & wine. Throughout the day, catch live demonstrations on theMain Stage and Coca-Cola Kitchen, where renowned chefs share their techniques, insights, and signature flair. 11th Annual Benefit to take place in the Uncas Ballroom on Saturday, November 15th; Veterans Day promotions at Mohegan Sun also include a $15,000 Slot Tournament where those with a valid Military ID get Free Entry
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 18, 2025) – On Saturday, November 15th, Mohegan Sun is set to celebrate active-duty military and veterans at the 11th Annual Vets Rock. This event is a heartfelt tribute to our nation’s heroes who inspire us with their courage and commitment. Vets Rock 2025 will feature valuable programs that focus on enhancing the lives of veterans and active-duty military members through a job fair, veteran service organizations, veteran-owned businesses, and other resources. This event is free and open to all ages. Following the Vets Rock Expo, guests can head over to the Wolf Den for free Dave Bray USA show!
Opening Ceremony
The day begins with a stirring Opening Ceremony hosted by WTNH’s Gil Simmons from 11:00am to Noon at The Shops at Mohegan Sun, in front of the Box Office. The Tribal Color Guard will lead the way with a vibrant presentation, followed by heartfelt remarks from Mohegan Sun’s Executive Team and distinguished guest speakers. A local school choir will lend their voices to a moving rendition of the National Anthem, setting the tone for a day of unity and honor. After the opening ceremony, guests are invited to continue the celebration in the Uncas Ballroom, where every handshake, resource, and conversation honors the journey of those who serve.
Vets Rock Expo
From Noon – 4:00pm, guests of all ages are invited to attend the free Vets Rock Expo in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun. This dynamic event will bring together a powerful lineup of resources designed to uplift and support those who’ve served. From a robust job fair and veteran service organizations to veteran-owned businesses and life-enhancing programs, Vets Rock is more than a celebration – it’s a movement of gratitude and growth. Vets Rock 2025 will also feature free flu shots for all those in attendance and Casino 101 which is free Blackjack and Roulette lessons for guests 21 years of age or older.
Dave Bray USA Show
Also happening on Saturday, November 15th is a free Dave Bray USA show in the Wolf Den at 8:00pm. Dave is a USN/USMC Veteran who considers his “Music on a Mission” to be a continuation of his Service. He has dedicated his career to honoring our American Heroes – our police, firefighters, military and veterans. Dave has over a decade of touring experience, six studio albums and millions of streams across all platforms. Dave has performed with Rock Legends Aerosmith, Shinedown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as Country stars Charlie Daniels, Travis Tritt, Brantley Gilbert, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith! His Rock rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” has garnered millions of views, over 1.5 million streams and is one of the most recognized and popular versions of the song!
Veterans Day Promotions
Mohegan Sun will be hosting a $15,000 Slot Tournament on Veterans Day (Tuesday, November 11th) and any Momentum member with a valid military ID is eligible for one free entry into the tournament. This tournament will take place from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Sky Slot Tournament Zone. Additionally, Veterans Day Pins will be distributed to guests at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 11th at the Winter, Summer, and Riverview entrances.
As a thank you to the troops, both past and present, Mohegan Sun regularly offers year-round military discounts to all active-duty military personnel, veterans and military dependents at more than 40 shops and dining locations across property.
