A brand-new festival set to Feature Coastal Cuisine, Entertainment, Cultural flair, and more arrives on the Sun Patio this August
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 29, 2025) – Mohegan Sun is excited to announce another brand-new festival, Taste of the Mediterranean, slated for the revamped Sun Patio on Saturday, August 23rd! From 2:00pm – 6:00pm, guests can let the flavors of the Mediterranean transport them – no plane ticket required. From artisan charcuterie spreads to hand-filled cannoli, Taste of the Mediterranean at Mohegan Sun brings together regional favorites for a one-day celebration of coastal cuisine, entertainment, and cultural flair. Additionally, attendees can take in the sights and sounds of the Med with a live DJ and dance performances celebrating the cultural traditions of the coast.
Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased via ticketmaster.com or the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. Ticket includes event entry only. Food and beverage options will be available at the event for purchase. Taste of the Mediterranean is open to all ages.
At Taste of the Mediterranean, guests can stroll through a vibrant open-air culinary experience, where local restaurants and vendors offer authentic signature bites and $5 tapas alongside full-size options, sip craft cocktails from the Sun Patio Bar while discovering new favorites as they vote for the best bite in the People’s Choice competition, and indulge in the “Charcuterie Corner”, where they’ll be able to fill their own charcuterie cup with cured meats, cheeses, and Mediterranean accompaniments. Additionally, Taste of the Mediterranean guests are invited to “Shoot Your Shot” with Mohegan Sun Online Casino for some great prizes, including up to $500 cash! UNCASVILLE, CT (April 24, 2025) – Pride Weekend is making its return to Mohegan Sun and guests are invited to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. On Friday, June 20th and Saturday, June 21st, Mohegan Sun will feature various fun-filled Pride activities including Connecticut Sun’s annual Pride Night, Pride on the Sun Patio, Lipstick, Lashes and Lies at Comix Roadhouse, and PRIDE @ Night at Avalon Nightclub!
Friday, June 20th
On Friday, June 20th, the Connecticut Sun will take on the Dallas Wings and guests are invited to show their pride! This 7:30pm game will feature a pride theme night and a halftime performance by a popular Idol! Tickets are on sale now via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability.
Following the Connecticut Sun game, guests can head over to Comix Roadhouse where Lipstick, Lashes and Lies will take the stage at 10:00pm! The main event of Pride Weekend, Pride on the Sun Patio, is set to take place from 2:00pm – 6:00pm on Saturday, June 21st and features an unforgettable evening of music, community, and celebration. Those in attendance can enjoy cozy fire pit seating, sip on vibrant drink specials, savor bites from flavor-packed food trucks such as Jayy’s, and connect with local businesses that uplift and support LGBTQ+ organizations, all while experiencing the energy of DJ Edgewood and a special guest performance by the Darling Divas and DFX dancers. Pride on the Sun Patio will also feature a fierce Lip-Sync Battle from 3:30pm – 4:30pm hosted by Mia of Lipstick, Lashes and Lies at Comix Roadhouse and iconic local Connecticut drag artists Kenya Mone Heart, Ambrosia Black, Dexx Delirium, Rory Roux Lay, and Gabriella Diamante will all compete to be crowned Lip Sync Battle Champion. In addition to the festivities, any guest who signs up for a Momentum card and shows their Pride on the Sun Patio wristband will receive $10 in Free Slot Play. Pride on the Sun Patio is free and open to all ages. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to join Momentum.
To top off Pride Weekend, guests can head over to Avalon Nightclub for PRIDE @ Night! UNCASVILLE, CT (April 11, 2025) – On Sunday, May 11th, Mohegan Sun will transform into the ultimate Mother’s Day destination as guests can celebrate mom with a choice between delicious brunches, a spa day, New England Craft Festival, or mouthwatering dining specials. And for those who can’t make it to the resort on Mother’s Day, Mohegan Sun’s gift card promotion ensures a very special day for mom in the future.
A yearly highlight at Mohegan Sun is the Premium and Classic Mother’s Day Brunches. This year moms are in for a treat as both brunches, taking place in the Uncas Ballroom, will be decked out with an elegant floral tea party theme. The Premium Brunch is set to take place from 10:00am – Noon on Mother’s Day while the Classic Brunch will follow from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. Additionally, attendees can unwind to live performances by Will Evans and Jazz band, Roomful of Blues. Roomful of Blues, the world-renowned, horn-powered, house rocking blues band, that has been delighting audiences for over 55 years is set to take the Sun Patio stage from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. On record and on stage, Roomful of Blues—led by master guitarist Chris Vachon for the past 25 years—continues to deliver its bone-shaking mix of original songs and carefully chosen covers ranging from jump, swing and proto rock ‘n’ roll to funky, contemporary blues. Performing from 4:00pm 6:00pm is the Rhode Island-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Will Evans. Through quotable folk-inspired lyrics, breezy grooves, and roots energy, it’s as if he’s giving you permission to be that pure self you can’t always be at work or even at home.
