New brunch concept features exclusive food offerings and customizable cocktails every Sunday
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 11, 2021) – Mohegan Sun’s luxury lounge, novelle, is excited to announce an all-new Sunday dining series for brunch lovers everywhere. At Bubbles, Brunch & Beats, guests can dine in luxury with new and delicious food options, sip and experiment with unique cocktail blends and vibe to music provided by a live DJ. Bubbles Brunch & Beats will take place every Sunday starting February 14th from 11:00am – 5:00pm.
In addition to small plate favorites like steak frites, sweet heat chicken & waffles and the lavish charcuterie board, Bubbles Brunch & Beats will feature new menu items like fried lobster mac & cheese, house-made donuts with ice cream, and dry aged sliders with onions, bacon jam, arugula and private stock cheddar, with a side of kettle chips.
Guests will also be able to add their own twist to some staple brunch cocktails. Bloody Marys can be made traditionally, or with a variety of gins or tequilas. Garnishes include shrimp, bacon, cheese, pickles and jalapeños. Mimosas can be made with prosecco and orange juice, or remixed to include peach schnapps, pineapple juice or cranberry juice. Guests looking for a little extra sweetness in their mimosas can also add strawberries, blackberries or blueberries. Any way guests choose to shake things up, Bloody Marys and mimosas will be available by the glass or carafe.

Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with dining and retail specials across property
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 16, 2020) – Mohegan Sun is sharing holiday cheer with dining and retail specials for Christmas and New Year’s. Guests can have a festive feast at their favorite restaurant and pick up the perfect gift for a loved one in The Shops at Mohegan Sun.
Christmas dinner at BALLO Italian Restaurant starts with roasted candy stripe beets and mozzarella. For the entrée, enjoy pan seared duck breast and sweet potato & maple bacon tortellini. End the meal on a sweet note with delicious snickerdoodle cannoli. BALLO Italian Restaurant is open on Christmas Day from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.
Guests who dine with Hash House A Go Go on Christmas Day have a variety of delicious options to choose from:
- The peppermint bark pancake is back! Enjoy a famous Hash House pancake cooked with crushed candy cane and milk chocolate chips, topped with whipped cream
- The cream cheese stuffed French toast has cream cheese sandwiched between two pieces of milk bread, dipped in banana cream batter, grilled to perfection and topped with a lemon curd sauce
- A mouthwatering house-cooked prime rib will be served with garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, au jus and horseradish cream
- The shrimp scampi pasta includes sautéed gulf shrimp atop a bed of linguini pasta, tossed with a scampi butter, bay shrimp, white wine, roasted red pepper and green onions
Dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Todd English’s Tuscany includes braised veal osso buco and risotto alla Milanese. Guests can also enjoy a decadent New Year’s Eve dinner that features a 16 oz. bone-in prime ribeye, butter poached Alaskan king crab, EVOO silk potatoes, asparagus and Béarnaise. Dinner service is available from 4:00pm – 8:15pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and from 4:30pm – 8:15pm on New Year’s Eve. Lunch service will not be offered.

Pasta Vita is offering Christmas and holiday catering. In addition to their holiday menu, Pasta Vita features over 100 freshly prepared entrées, vegetable dishes, salads, sauces, soups, breads and desserts, as well as over 25 varieties of the company’s famous specialty-striped ravioli. Pasta Vita has two locations at Mohegan Sun – the Riverview Entrance of Casino of the Sky and right across from the Summer Valet Entrance.
At Michael Jordan’s Steak House, dinner starts with a miniature beef Wellington with Bordelaise sauce. For the main course, choose between the “Prime 23” – a 23 oz. bone-in prime rib, two bacon scallops and two sautéed shrimp, or “The G.O.A.T” – a 23 oz. bone-in prime rib, double cut lamb chops, a 1/2 lb. of King crab legs with black garlic butter and a roasted 6 oz. lobster tail with butter and charred lemon. Complete either meals with a slice of red velvet cake. Both of these surf and turf feasts can be paired with an eggnog martini, made of Van Gogh vanilla vodka, citrus liqueur, eggnog, nutmeg and cinnamon. MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is serving up a three-course meal exclusively on Christmas Day that starts with pasta fagioli. The entrée is prime rib with mashed potatoes, asparagus and natural jus. Dessert is a delectable white chocolate bread pudding. This three course meal pairs perfectly with the white chocolate peppermint martini made with Mozart white chocolate liqueur, Van Gogh vanilla vodka, peppermint, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Over at SolToro, Christmas dinner starts with Mexican street corn on the cob, complete with crème elote, queso fresco and tajín. The main course is a combination of two different fajitas, options include chicken, shrimp or steak. Dessert is a rich chocolate flan. Successful Hybrid Event Held at Mohegan Sun Paves the Way Forward for Live Conferences, Events, and Conventions During the “New Normal”
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 6, 2020) – Mohegan Sun and Northstar Meetings Group hosted its Reconvening for Recovery: Live! conference, a special event aimed at helping businesses navigate the new frontier of planning engaging, hybrid business meetings, conferences and conventions while adhering to the most current industry health and safety protocols. The hybrid event, held at Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center, was the first-of-its-kind for the two brands and welcomed seventy-five in-person attendees, as well as over 1,000 digital attendees, who were fully integrated into the event.
As part of the exhibition, several educational seminars took place tailored to helping meeting planners learn how to bring back their events safely. Each of the sessions featured insight and first-hand experience from industry leaders, such as John Washko, Vice President of Expo & Convention Sales for Mohegan Sun, who discussed how meetings suppliers can help planners visualize and plan events safely and effectively; David Dubois, President and CEO of International Association of Exhibitions and Events, who touched on essential considerations for safely reopening exhibitions and events; Hope Holm, Regional Sales Director for PSAV, who demonstrated how to facilitate the new normal for hybrid events; Heather Hansen O’Neill, President of Find Your Fire, who discussed ways to move the industry forward; among many others.
“The goal of Reconvening for Recovery: Live was to inspire industry members on the bright future of business gatherings and conventions, and we believe we delivered a best-in-class roadmap for how to get there with the help of Northstar Meetings Group,” said John Washko, Mohegan Sun Vice President of Expo & Convention Sales. “As one of the world’s leading integrated entertainment resort destinations with best-in-class industry health and safety protocols, Mohegan Sun was the perfect venue to host the largest hybrid in-person and virtual event in Connecticut in recent months, safely showcasing a better experience for tomorrow’s guests, team members and convention attendees.”
In addition to the in-person panels, the event featured a virtual panel that consisted of four members of the Events Industry Council’s Covid-19 Business Recovery Task Force – including Amy Calvert, president and CEO of EIC; Michael Dominguez, president and CEO of Associated Luxury Hotels International; Allison Kinsley, founder of Kinsley Meetings; and Liz Warwick, vice president of meeting management and event strategy for Liberty Mutual Insurance. As part of the virtual panel, the task force members discussed the resources EIC is producing to provide best practices and guidance for live events.

Following a day of captivating conversations regarding ways forward for the industry, Miss America 2020 Camille Schrier addressed the live and virtual audience with a presentation focused on transformation, as well as a demonstration of the science experiment which attributed to her winning the crown. In addition to the on-stage presentations, Schrier presented two video vignettes, one from the perspective of Angela Cox, Northstar’s senior group director of meetings and events, and Mohegan Sun’s Dana Lambersky, CMP, CMM, director of convention services – both of whom planned Reconvening for Recovery: Live. The second focused on Schrier’s experience as an in-person meeting attendee in the era of COVID-19.
In-person attendance of the conference was limited to seventy-five planners and supplier representatives, all of whom had to be within driving distance of the venue and complied with Connecticut’s travel advisory pre-arrival testing protocols. Remote cameras broadcasted “behind-the-scenes” looks at how Mohegan Sun and its partners produced the event, demonstrating current live event best practices to the meeting’s digital audience.
