Guests can enjoy a holiday toy store, great entertainment and shopping for gifts at nearly 40 retail outlets at Mohegan Sun
This holiday season at Mohegan Sun, guests can find a one-stop destination for gifts and loads of entertainment and even a shot at winning a $250.00 gift card all by having the ugliest holiday sweater. In addition, The Shops At Mohegan Sun, for the first time, will be featuring a special toy store, The Toy Basket, featuring a range of great gift items.
THE TOY BASKET
This holiday season, Mohegan Sun is making it easier than ever to get your shopping finished with our very own holiday toy store. The Toy Basket is open now and features a variety of products for both young and old. Guests can shop for the popular Mattel products like Hot Wheels & Barbie along with numerous Crayola and Lego gifts. To help spark some great gift planning, we have come up with a top five toy list with all five products set to be featured in The Toy Basket.
1.) Pillow Pets
The half stuffed animal half pillow product known as Pillow Pets is one of the top gift ideas for young children this Holiday season and the Toy Basket will be well stocked. The fun, cuddly and inexpensive Pillow Pets can be purchased in everything from a cow, turtle, lady bug and even dolphins.
2.) LEGO: Crawler Crane
Mohegan Sun’s holiday outlet will have various LEGO products available including the popular Crawler Crane that will keep kids busy with authentic construction vehicle details and features like moving tracks, lifting mechanism, a house section and barrier.
3.) Fisher Price: Color Flash Laptop
The just for kids Fisher Price Color Flash Laptop features an array of game modes aimed to help kids discover letters, phonics and numbers. The product also comes equipped with mazes, music, exciting animation and more.
4.) Calico Critters Country Tree House
The Calico Critters Country Tree House isn’t your average play set. This four room package comes equipped with plenty of furniture & accessories including two mango monkeys, hot tub, water slide and a lake that all make for a great deal of fun for children.
5.) Barbie: Glam Vacation House
One of the hot items that will be available in The Toy Basket is the Glam Vacation House by Barbie. The dollhouse has two stories and six areas of glam-o-rama play including a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, patio and breakfast bar. Kids can customize the set as they see fit with clip n’ fit pieces such as TV, chandelier and titki lights. The kit folds up also for children to play on the go.

UGLY SWEATER CONTEST
Mohegan Sun really gets into the holiday spirit with the return of the “It’s Not You, It’s The Sweater” Contest. The contest is currently in progress and runs through December 8th at 10:00am. To enter, participants are asked to send a photo of themselves in an ugly holiday sweater to [email protected] and include their full name, email address and phone number. On December 9th, the collection of ugly sweater photos will be posted in an album on Mohegan Sun’s Facebook page where users can vote for their favorites by clicking the “like” option by the photo. The photo with the most “likes” as of 10:00am on December 15th will win a $250.00 gift card to The Shops at Mohegan Sun.
GIFT CARDS & UNITED WAY WRISTBANDS
Mohegan Sun gift cards are also available and can be purchased with cash or credit card at the Mohegan Sun Box Office or any Mohegan Sun apparel outlet including all Essential stores and Everything Under The Sun which are open 24 hours a day. Gift cards are available in denominations from $10.00 to $500.00 and can be used for everything from shopping, dining & entertainment as well as at Mohegan Sun’s hotel, Elemis Spa and Mohegan Sun’s Mobil Gas Station & Convenience store.

Free Entertainment and Mid-Day Performances
Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den lineup will be jam-packed with timeless acts including two special performances on select Mondays at 12:00pm to 12:45pm and 1:15pm to 2:00pm.
On January 4th, The Glamour Girls will play a wide selection of 50s through 70s hits. Additionally, Dietician and Lifestyle Expert, Mary Ann Nash, will be speaking on ways to achieve a healthy lifestyle following The Glamour Girls’ performance at 2:30pm.
Phil Dirt & The Dozers will pay homage to the 50s and 60s Rock and Roll era on January 11th. The Daddio’s will take the stage to play various 40s through 70s hits on January 18th. Rick K. and The Allnighters will perform their renditions of the 50s through the 70s on February 1st. Continuing the 50s and 70s sound will be The Main Street Cruisers on February 8th.
The Wolf Den plays host to “Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker” Patti Stanger on February 15th at 1:00pm, as she hosts a special Singles’ Boot Camp. Attendees will receive priceless tips and tricks on finding and keeping the perfect mate. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The action heats up with $5,000 Slot Tournaments-Minimum-Guaranteed on January 25th and February 22nd.
