Celebrate Active-Duty Military and Veterans at Mohegan Sun’s Vets Rock 2024

10th Annual benefit to take place in the Uncas Ballroom on Saturday, November 16th

UNCASVILLE, CT (September 24, 2024) – On Saturday, November 16th, all are welcome to head to Mohegan Sun to celebrate active-duty military and veterans at the 10th Annual Vets Rock. This event features valuable programs that focus on enhancing the lives of veterans and active-duty military members through a job fair, veteran service organizations, veteran-owned businesses, and other resources. This event is free and open to all ages.

Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony, presented by Gil Simmons from WTNH, will take place from 11:00am – Noon in front of the Box Office in The Shops at Mohegan Sun. An exciting presentation from the Tribal Color Guard will kick off the festivities! Members of Mohegan Sun’s executive team along with other influential speakers will discuss the importance of our military and will show their gratitude for veterans. Additionally, a local school will perform the National Anthem and two service dogs will be presented to their new owners by Everlasting Veteran and donated by Meadow Ridge Weims (And Danes). Following the ceremony, guests are invited to the Uncas Ballroom for the 10th year of Vets Rock.

Vets Rock Expo
From Noon – 4:00pm, guests of all ages are invited to attend the free Vets Rock Expo in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun. The expo will feature tables hosted by veteran service organizations, educational services and companies looking to provide benefits to veterans and active-duty military members. A job fair hosted by Mohegan Sun will be available during the expo to assist service members and their families in accessing career opportunities. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a flu vaccine by Northeast Medical Group and interact with adorable puppies looking for their forever home as All Paws on Deck will be hosting an adoption event. Guests 21 or older will also be able to participate in Casino 101 featuring free Blackjack and Roulette lessons offered by Mohegan Sun.

As a thank you to the troops, both past and present, Mohegan Sun regularly offers year-round military discounts to all active-duty military personnel, veterans and military dependents at more than 40 shops and dining locations across property.
