Season nine American Idol star to perform in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Friday, May 20th
Mohegan Sun’s Reality Check returns on Friday, May 20th with the incredibly gifted singer Siobhan Magnus of American Idol’s season nine. The performance kicks off at 7:00pm followed by a signing event at 7:45pm. This free and exclusive event will take place in The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

Best known as a finalist on the ninth (2010) season of American Idol, Siobhan Magnus is far from the cookie cutter Pop diva some may associate with such shows. One look and half a listen of her incredible vocal ability will tell you she has got more than you bargained for. She gained widespread appeal as one of the most talented and artistic contestants during her rise on the hit reality TV show. The future is bright as well, as she is currently working on her first solo album, expected this fall, although fans won’t have to wait long to hear new material as Magnus plans to release a few singles through iTunes as early as May.

Audition for a chance to be named the Connecticut Idol on July 26th at Mohegan Sun and win the opportunity to tryout in front of an American Idol producer
UNCASVILLE, CT – In collaboration with Fox 61 WTIC-TV, Mohegan Sun presents Connecticut Idol, where 250 contestants will be competing for the chance to audition in front of an American Idol producer . The auditions are being held on Monday, July 26th from 10:00am to 5:00pm in The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun. Upon completion of auditions, the winner will be announced between 5:30pm and 6:00pm in The Shops at Mohegan Sun concourse.
Contestants can register from 7:30am to 10:00am in front of The Cabaret Theatre. On-site registration is limited to the first 200 eligible contestants, with another 50 contestants being randomly pre-qualified through the online enter to win contest on ctnow.com. All eligible contestants must be between the ages of 15 to 28 years. Any contestant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Contestants must be present to win during the announcement in The Shops concourse.

Reality television fans have something to look forward to this summer when the hotly-anticipated American Idol Live!
Tour stops at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, July 13th at 7:30pm for one show only. The American Idol Live! Tour 2010 will feature the American Idol Season 9 top 10 contestants Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Tim Urban and Connecticut’s own Katie Stevens.
Tickets are $90.00 and $70.00 and go on sale Saturday, May 15th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Sunday, May 16th, subject to availability.
