Sultry Saturdays heat up the weekends during Hot Summer Fun
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 18, 2014) – There is no hotter place to party than in the Sun this summer. Mohegan Sun has some of the premier party spots in the region all under one roof and during Sultry Saturdays, nightlife is the name of the game.
Beginning June 28th, Sultry Saturdays are bringing the hottest nightlife to the summer schedule. Whether you want to grab your closest girlfriends and party outside or you and your buddies would rather get wild inside, there is something for everyone at Mohegan Sun after the sun goes down this summer.
Avalon
Joining the ranks of Hollywood, San Diego, Boston and Singapore, Avalon Mohegan Sun is a must attend venue for a true nightlife experience with high energy audio by EAW in a stunning 10,000 square feet setting. Ideal for Bachelorette, Birthday, and Corporate Parties, Avalon offers VIP bottle service, a top-of-the-line cocktail menu and the hottest party beats as one of the Northeast’s nightclub hotspots.
GLO
Party under the stars at the region’s only outdoor nighttime party, GLO, located on the third floor pool terrace of the hotel. Equipped with VIP cabanas, a fire pit and two Blackjack tables, join the live DJs and dancers every Thursday and Saturday until the end of August. The party officially starts with GLO’s Grand Opening celebration on Thursday, July 3rd at 9:00pm.
MIST
A contemporary chic venue that sits beneath the 3-story water wall in Casino of the Wind, Mist is the steamiest nightlife scene with continuous rolling fog, VIP areas and dancers.
VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock
VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock is a true ultra lounge nestled in the quartz structure in Casino of the Sky underneath the world’s largest indoor planetarium dome. Actor, comedian, musician, and radio/television personality, Nick Cannon will be signing his new album, White People Party Music. Later on, Cannon proves he’s “all that” when he guest DJs at Mohegan Sun’s hottest nightclub, Avalon!
A multi-faceted entertainer, Nick Cannon skyrocketed to fame after landing a spot on Nickelodeon’s hit show All That. The multifaceted star went on to create, produce, and host one of MTV’s highest rated shows, Wild ‘n Out. Cannon’s talents have no limits; from big screen blockbusters, to his own successful line of NCredible Monster headphones. The America’s Got Talent host is also active is several notable charities.

Mohegan Sun’s all-night New Year’s Eve celebration kicks off on Tuesday, December 31st
UNCASVILLE, CT – Mohegan Sun will be throwing one of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties Connecticut has to offer on Tuesday, December 31st. Exclusive events, live entertainment and plenty of champagne will be available throughout the night, along with an extravagant finale in The Shops concourse as the crowd counts down to Midnight.
MOHEGAN SUN’S PARTY INTO THE NEW YEAR
Mohegan Sun’s “Party into the New Year” sponsored by Moët & Chandon starts at 10:00pm inside the Uncas Ballroom. The cost of entry is $75.00 and includes an open bar, music by Skam Artist DJ Sid Vicious, a champagne toast at Midnight and a breakfast buffet at 2:00am to keep the party going. Tickets are on sale now through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster.
COUNTDOWN IN THE SHOPS COUNCOURSE
Thousands of partygoers will gather at The Shops concourse as the clock strikes 12. Complimentary hats, horns and tiaras will be given out at Summer and Riverview coat checks starting at 5:00pm, available while supplies last. At 9:00pm, DJae Mêlée will begin to spin outside of Todd English’s Tuscany alongside skilled break-dancers. To top it off, a pyrotechnic display at Midnight will truly light up the New Year. SHOWS
Mohegan Sun Arena will be featuring an exclusive Cirque Celebration show at 7:00pm. This 75-minute heart-pounding, non-stop colorful explosion of athleticism, acrobatic audacity and festive imagination will be the perfect way to ring in the New Year. Tickets are $25.00 and are available through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster.
At The Wolf Den, one of the most original 80’s tribute bands of all time, Rubix Kube, will be performing free shows at 8:00pm & 11:00pm. Come early as seating is limited. All guests must be 21 or older.
The Cabaret Theatre will bring the laughs for The Funniest New Year’s Eve in Connecticut as comedian Robert Kelly featuring Marvin Bell with special guest RC Smith take the stage at 10:00pm. Tickets are $44.50 and are available through the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster.
NIGHTLIFE
Mohegan Sun’s newest nightclub, Avalon, will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party at 9:00pm with music by Clinton Sparks and a champagne toast at Midnight. The internationally renowned super-club is equipped with high-energy audio by EAW, in a stunning 10,000 square-foot setting. The event is for ages 21 and over and the dress code will be strictly enforced.
VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock will be kicking off their New Year’s festivities at 9:00pm with music by Skam Artist DJ Jessica Who. Stick around for a champagne toast at Midnight. The party is for ages 21 and over and the dress code will be strictly enforced.
Over at MIST, the celebration continues with a New Year’s party beginning at 11:00pm with
music by Danny Diggz. The party is for ages 21 and over and guests are encouraged to dress to impress.
If you are looking to grab a bite before Midnight, enjoy great food and live music by Kick at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville at 10:30pm, or head over to The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House for a fun celebration starting at 10:30pm with music by DJ Cribb.
