Mohegan Sun Launches Shaken or Stirred Hotel Package Celebrating Season 7 of Back of House!

Launched on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, and airing every Wednesday at 7:30pm EDT through November 15th, Mohegan Sun’s award-winning original online TV series, “Back of House,” is currently in its 7th season. The show peels the curtain back to give viewers a glimpse of how Mohegan Sun’s hardest-working team members sync together to create a symphony of hospitality.

This was evident in episode two, “Shaken or Stirred,” where Mohegan Sun’s Director of Fine Dining, Chris Greaney, organizes a “Spirit Spotlight” cocktail contest. Competitors included mixologists from three Mohegan Sun fine dining attractions, including TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge, Todd English’s Tuscany and novelle – where the competition occurred. The only requirement was for each mixologist to base their drink idea on Patrón Tequila! The winning cocktail, the “Amber Maize,” skillfully prepared by top bartenders in this year’s competition, is now available at novelle. Mohegan Sun’s “Back of House” Digital TV Series Wins Multiple Awards through the Communicator and Telly Organizations

The innovative online series that allows viewers a sneak peek at real hospitality employees in real work situations is also being used as a career building resource by the HSMAI Foundation

UNCASVILLE, CT – (June 11, 2019) – Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment (MGE) announced today that the second season of its original digital TV series, “Back of House,” found online at backofhouse.tv, took home four awards at the 25th Annual Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications. The popular digital series also won two Bronze Telly Awards for Branded Content in Entertainment and Branded Content in Sports.  Since 1979, The Telly Awards have recognized some of the best work in TV and Video. Earlier this year Mohegan Sun was also notified that “Back of House” is being used by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Foundation (HSMAI) as part of a campaign to inspire future leaders into hotel, travel and hospitality careers.

Accolades from the 25th Annual Communicator Awards were revealed at the end of May.  The episode called, “Preperation”, featuring Amber Cox, the WNBA Connecticut Sun’s VP of Sports Operations, was individually recognized with a Silver Distinction Award. Another Silver Distinction Award was received for the episode called, “Celebrity” featuring Mohegan Sun’s Celebrity Events Producer, Lindsay Cady.  The most prestigious awards included a Gold Award of Excellence for Web Series Development and a Gold Award of Excellence for Tourism Branded Content.
