Halsey Reveals Summer Headline Tour Dates; Mohegan Sun Arena Scheduled For August 4th

2016 recipient of “Breakthrough Artist” award at Music Biz

UNCASVILLE, CT (February 8, 2016) – Halsey’s Madison Square Garden show on August 13th sold out within a matter of days, but the world’s favorite post-apocalyptic Pop disruptor didn’t want to leave anybody out. Announced recently was a full-scale North American headline tour this summer, concluding at the MSG gig. On this run, beginning July 6th in Orlando, FL, her show will transform arenas and amphitheaters into the delightful dystopia depicted within her full-length debut album, BADLANDS (Astralwerks). Mohegan Sun Arena is set to host Halsey for the first time on Thursday, August 4th for a 7:30pm concert.
Tickets are $30.00 and go on sale now through Ticketmaster.  Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.  Tickets are also available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability.
Halsey kicked off the new year with the announcement that she would be the recipient of the “Breakthrough Artist Award” at Music Biz 2016 in Nashville, May 18th.
Critics continue to praise her live shows. Consequence of Sound wrote, “The lasting impression of the performance left her largely female audience lingering after the show, beaming in the newfound success of their hero, sure they had witnessed one of music’s biggest rising stars.” Rookie says “Halsey has a knack for bringing people together with her brutally honest and heartfelt music. In return, her fans make her live shows extra spectacular–screaming the lyrics to empowering songs. The majority of fans said that listening to her music had strengthened their friendships and inspired them to be themselves, without apologies.”   Houston Press claimed, “Her lyrics are so confessional and yet she has this cool about her, as if she’s already a superstar and she’s waiting for the rest of the world to catch up to her. It feels like it’s only a matter of time before that happens.” Redeye said, “Halsey didn’t so much perform for the rabid crowd of oft-shrieking fans as with them, confidently leading a communal experience with lyrics that listeners clearly have made their own as they sing (shout) along with most of them.”
Halsey’s full-length debut, Badlands, bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200, and she joined The Weeknd for his The Madness fall tour, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Last Call with Carson Daly, hopped on Justin Bieber’s #1 comeback album Purpose, garnered a People’s Choice Award nomination and performed at the 2015 Museum of Modern Art’s Film Benefit honoring Cate Blanchett. The age of Badlands is underway.

Neal Schon (founding member and lead guitarist), Ross Valory (co-founder and bassist), and longtime members Jonathan Cain (keyboardist) and Arnel Pineda (lead singer), are welcoming virtuoso drummer Steve Smith back into JOURNEY, marking the first time he will perform with the band since 1998.  Schon’s musical career began at the age of 15, when he debuted with Santana as a guitar prodigy on the #1 album, Santana III. Since Arnel Pineda joined JOURNEY as its new lead singer in 2007, the band has released two albums and embarked on seven major tours, performing on four continents for more than five million fans, earning the group Billboard’s prestigious “Legend of Live Award.”

April 15, 2016 marks the release date of Santana IV, the wildly anticipated studio album that reunites the revered early ‘70s lineup of guitar icon Carlos Santana (guitar, vocals), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums). Santana is currently headlining a multi-year residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. In the fall of 2014, Carlos Santana released his memoir The Universal Tone: Bringing My Story to Light. It’s a profoundly inspiring tale of spiritual commitment and musical fearlessness that does not balk at finding the humor in the world of high-flying fame, nor at speaking plainly of Santana’s personal revelations and the divine and infinite possibility he sees in each person he meets.
