No pyrotechnics, no army of back-up dancers, no elaborate staging – not even a pair of shoes.  Just her charisma, pipes and hips.”

The album is the follow-up to 2005’s platinum-certified album Oral Fixation Vol. 2, which spawned the hit single “Hips Don’t Lie” reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 which was #1 in 55 countries and became the most played song in the history of U.S. Pop radio.  The critically- acclaimed She Wolf continues to grow in popularity with the recent release of the album’s third single, “Gypsy,” preceded by hit singles “She Wolf” and “Give It Up To Me,” featuring Lil Wayne.  Shakira made Billboard chart history again in 2010 with her 17th top five hit on the Latin Pop Airplay chart with “Gitana,” giving her the most top five titles by a female artist in the chart’s 16-year history.

Maroon 5’s ‘Hands All Over’ Tour Stops At Mohegan Sun

Highly-anticipated third album produced by studio legend Robert John “Mutt” Lange set for release on September 21st
Grammy-winning recording artist Maroon 5 is back with their highly-anticipated third studio album, Hands All OverPress Release Photo low res (A&M/Octone), set for release on September 21st. Produced by Rock studio legend Robert John “Mutt” Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard, The Cars), Hands All Over is a killer hybrid of Rock, Pop, Funk and R&B. In addition, the album’s first single will impact radio on June 28th. Following the release of the single, Maroon 5 has announced plans for a summer concert tour that will rock Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, August 1st at 7:00pm with special guests Guster and Ry Cuming.
Tickets are $65.00 and $45.00 and go on sale Friday, May 14th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.  Ticketmaster customers may log onto ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge by Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.  Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, May 15th, subject to availability.
Maroon 5 began writing the songs that appear on Hands All Over after winding down from a world tour in support of their 2007 studio release It Won’t Be Soon Before Long. Several months later, the band received a phone call from Lange, who heard that the band was beginning to write a new album, and expressed an interest in producing it.
“We didn’t even talk to anyone else,” Adam Levine, Maroon 5’s frontman says. “Mutt is undeniably one of the most successful producers who’s ever lived.”
Jesse Carmichael, the band’s keyboardist, added, “Mutt really helped us play to the best of our ability. And it drove us to be bigger and better than ever.”
The result is Hands All Over, a monumental record chock full of buoyant, unforgettable melodies.  Recorded at Lange’s Switzerland studio, the members of Maroon 5 locked themselves in the mountains to patiently craft their latest effort. Starting with the hard-rocking title track, the album’s fifteen tracks take several intoxicating twists and turns including such compositions as “Out of Goodbyes,” a stunning Country ballad infused with musical and vocal contributions from Nashville chart-toppers Lady Antebellum. Long-time fans will get a thrill out of “Misery,” with its funky guitars and high-stepping melody, as well as the propulsive “Stutter,” melody rich “Give A Little More” and “Don’t Know Much About That,” which professes a classic soulful vibe.
Guster continues to back 2006’s Ganging Up on the Sun, along with an eight-song EP from 2007, Satellite, which comprises live cuts and new recordings.  The group, which has been in the studio working on a still-untitled new album, will release its next studio set on Aware/Columbia after recording its last two albums for the Reprise label. According to a recent Billboard article, the band has purchased carbon credits to offset the environmental impact of recording and distributing the forthcoming album.

The Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun will continue to thrill this spring, beginning with Pop sensation Jordin Sparks on Saturday, May 1st, followed by Country star Dilbert McClinton on Saturday, May 8th. Kara DioGuardi – An Evening of Songs & Stories is live in the Den on Friday, May 14th and John Michael Montgomery will liven up the Wolf Den stage on Saturday, May 15th. Easton Corbin will take over the stage on Sunday, May 23rd.  Finally, America’s 40th Anniversary Tour arrives in the Wolf Den on Saturday, May 29th.  Friday and Saturday Wolf Den shows begin at 8:00pm and Sunday shows are at 7:00pm unless otherwise noted.   Admission is free, but all patrons must be 21 or over.
Jordin Sparks rose to fame as the winner of the sixth season of American Idol. With the 2009 release of her sophomore project Battlefield, Sparks showcases a new look and a confident maturity.  The second single off the album, “S.O.S. (Let The Music Play)” is Sparks’ first single to hit #1, climbing to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
Three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Delbert McClinton released his latest album Acquired Taste in 2009, his first new recording in over four years. Over the course of his career, he has charted singles on various Billboard charts including Hot 100, Mainstream Rock Tracks and Hot Country Songs. His highest peaking single was “Tell Me About It,” a 1992 duet with Tanya Tucker, which reached #4 on the U.S. Country charts.
Kara DioGuardi is a music mogul as she is a talented singer/songwriter and producer to list a few of her credentials. She has penned hits for numerous singers such as Celine Dion, Pink and Kelly Clarkson. She also serves as a judge on Fox’s American Idol.
John Michael Montgomery has turned an uncanny ability to relate to fans into one of Country music’s most storied careers. Since the days when “Life’s A Dance” turned him from an unknown artist into a national star, John Michael’s rich baritone has carried the most important of assets: believability.
Easton Corbin is unapologetically Country. His songs, while rooted in the present, call to mind simpler times when the back porch was where folks gathered to network. Steel guitars and fiddles are as much a part of his sound as his baritone drawl. The single, “A Little More Country Than That,” paints a picture of rural life that speaks to Easton’s small town sensibilities.
America hit it big in the 1970s with a string of commercially successful albums.  The Folk/Rock band’s biggest hits include, “A Horse with No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair” and “Ventura Highway.”
