Mohegan Sun Arena will play host to one of the hottest bands around right now when Kings Of Leon perform live on Wednesday, September 9th at 7:30pm with special guest Glasvegas.

When Kings of Leon released their third album Because Of The Times in 2007, Entertainment Weekly called it their “crowning achievement,” while Rolling Stone wondered: “How good can the Kings of Leon get? They’ve already gone further than anybody could have guessed.”
“After three records and touring for five years straight, we knew what we were capable of,” says the band’s drummer Nathan. “We just had to put our money where our mouths were. We had to take it to the next level. You always want your next record to be better than your last.” Adds frontman and lyricist Caleb: “There’s never a time that we’ll make a record and won’t attempt to do something better than what came before.”
With its stunning melodies, ringing guitars, and razor-sharp grooves, Only By The Night delivers on the promise Kings of Leon have shown throughout their career. From the desolate atmospherics of the opening track “Closer” to the emotional intensity of the closing ballad “Cold Desert,” Only By The Night is all heart from start to finish.
Glasvegas are a Scottish Alternative Rock band that formed in Glasgow in 2003. The band consists of James Allan (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rab Allan (lead guitar, backing vocals), Paul Donoghue (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Caroline McKay (drums).

Rock supergroup performs live on August 20th
Chickenfoot, the highly-anticipated new Rock group, comprised of guitar hero Joe Satriani, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and frontman Sammy Hagar, will take the stage at Mohegan Sun on Thursday, August 20th at 7:30pm with special guests Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam.

Long before these four Rock icons came together to form Chickenfoot, they already had filled the pages of Rock history with enough individual mind-blowing chapters to boggle the mind of any fan or musician alike. Satriani had his own blazing solo career as a much-respected guitar virtuoso; Chad Smith is the drummer of world-renowned Rock band The Red Hot Chili Peppers; and Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar have been working together since their days as bassist and lead singer, respectively, in Van Halen. Beloved Classic Rockers perform on September 7th
Journey, one of the best-selling Rock bands of all time, is hitting the road again in 2009 and will be performing live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Monday, September 7th at 7:30pm.

In 2008, Journey introduced a new singer to the world, Arnel Pineda, with the release of their 14th studio album Revelation and an extraordinarily successful world tour. It was the latest chapter in a Rock and Roll saga that started more than thirty-five years ago and has produced some of the best-known Rock songs of the 70s and 80s. Revelation, a three-disc CD and DVD package, was certified platinum within several months of its release.
