Fall Out Boy, Metro Station and Hey Monday will host exclusive CD signings in conjunction with their performances in the Arena on April 29th
Immediately following their performance in the Arena on Wednesday, April 29th, Grammy-nominated rockers Fall Out Boy will participate in a “Signings & Sightings” event. Prior to the performance fans will also get a chance to meet, greet and snag autographs with members of the chart-topping band Metro Station and Alternative Rock group Hey Monday at 5:00pm. Both “Signings & Sightings” events will take place on the Spin Street Stage in The Shops at Mohegan Sun concourse. This “Signings & Sightings” event is sponsored by Spin Street and The Shops at Mohegan Sun. CDs for both groups will be available for purchase at Spin Street on the day of the signing and leading up to the events.

Fall Out Boy has built up a loyal following with relentless touring; they have performed over 1,200 shows since their inception in 2000. The band’s 2007 release Infinity On High debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was the follow-up to From Under The Cork Tree, which spent seventy-two weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.
Hailing from Chicago, Fall Out Boy – Patrick Vaughn Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Trohman (guitar) and Andy Hurley (drums) – have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender and Alternative Press and have performed on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and more. Pop band Metro Station was formed in 2006 after the mothers of Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso introduced them to each other. Trace Cyrus is the older brother of Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus and Mason Musso is the older brother of Mitchel Musso from Hannah Montana. The band released its first LP in 2007 entitled Metro Station, which peaked at #1 on Billboard’s U.S. Electronic Albums chart.
Alternative Rock band Hey Monday busted onto the music scene in 2007. Their participation on Fall Out Boy’s ‘Believers Never Die Part Deux’ tour is in support of their first album Hold on Tight, released in September 2008.

77 WABC and Lumber Liquidators present “Imus at Night” with special guests “The Levon Helm Band” on April 16th in The Cabaret Theatre
For the first time ever, 77 WABC and Lumber Liquidators present “Imus at Night” on Thursday, April 16th at 7:00pm. This gut-busting night of comedy will feature Karith Foster, Tony Powell, Rob Bartlett, Warner Wolf and the I-Man himself with special guests “The Levon Helm Band.”
Tickets can be purchased through 77 WABC on www.WABCradio.com for $100.00 and will include a cocktail hour in The Cabaret Theatre from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. At 7:00pm the show begins for a hilarious night to remember. The following morning The Imus in the Morning program will broadcast live from the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den from 6:00am-10:00am and free admission will be open to the public. Guests who bring their “Imus at Night” ticket stub to the broadcast will be entered for a chance to win great prizes. All ticket sales will benefit the Imus Ranch for kids with Cancer.
Imus broadcasted his first program from New York City back in 1971. Since his broadcasting career began, Imus has been on the cover of Newsweek Magazine and Time Magazine named him one of the 25 most influential Americans. He is a 4-time recipient of the Marconi Award from the National Association Of Broadcasters and a member of the prestigious Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame. He’s been featured on NBC’s “Today” show and CBS’ “60 Minutes and a guest of Charlie Rose, David Letterman and Larry King. Karith Foster is one of the hottest comics to come out of New York City according to both The Hollywood Reporter and Backstage Magazine who named her one of the “Top 10 Comics to Watch” in 2004. Native New Yorker Tony Powell has appeared on The Chris Rock Show, NBC’s Showtime at the Apollo, A&E’s Comedy on the Road, and has opened for celebrity music groups such as The Ojays, and the Whispers and has worked as the studio warm-up act for Bill Cosby and Nickelodeon’s Keenan and Kel show. Powell has also appeared on three national television commercials (Visa, Dawn Detergent and Ritz Crackers). Tony was also the radio voice of ”Mr. Chill” for Miller Genuine Draft and the U.S. Army reserves. Powell’s voice has also been featured in national radio spots for Fila and Heineken.
Rob Bartlett started performing stand-up comedy in 1978 hoping it would lead to a career in acting. Nearly 30 years later, Rob has become one of the most versatile performers around. He is a successful actor, standup comedian, radio personality and writer. He has headlined at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Atlantic City’s Tropicana and Hilton Hotels and Mohegan Sun. On television, Rob has appeared as a stand up comedian on the MTV Half Hour Comedy Hour, Standup Spotlight on VH1 and on Late Night with David Letterman and Conan O’Brian.
The Levon Helm Band led by Levon Helm features his daughter Amy Helm, along with Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Jimmy Vivino, Mike Merritt, Brian Mitchell, Erik Lawrence, Steven Bernstein and blues harmonica player Little Sammy Davis. His 2007 comeback album Dirt Farmer earned the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album in February 2008, and in November of that year, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him #91 in the list of The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.

JabbaWockeeZ is a mainstream dance group, established in 2003 by Joe Larot, Kevin Brewer and Phil Tayag. The group first gained fame by appearing on America’s Got Talent before going on to being the first winners of the MTV Hip Hop dance reality series America’s Best Dance Crew in 2008. They are known for their intricate synchronization and precise dances, mime and kabuki-styled theatrics, and for wearing masks and gloves during most of their performances. Their name is derived from the Lewis Carroll poem “Through the Looking Glass.”

Mohegan Sun Arena to host boys and girls high school state
basketball finals
Mohegan Sun and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference have announced the schedule for this weekend’s boys and girls 2009 high school state basketball finals in Mohegan Sun Arena.
The ladies will tip off the first session at 6:30pm on Friday, March 20th. The #1 seeded Norwich Free Academy Wildcats will meet the #2 seeded Career Magnet Panthers from New Haven for the Girls Class LL championship. The action will continue at 8:30pm as the Fairfield Warde Mustangs face off with the Hillhouse Academics from New Haven for the Girls Class L championship.
A full day of action is in the mix for Saturday, March 21st, as six championship games dictate the bragging rights for 2009. The second session tips-off at 9:00am as the Old Lyme Wildcats take on the Cinderella-story Coventry Patriots for the Girls Class S championship. The guys will take the court for the first time at 11:00am as the Cromwell Panthers take on the Hyde Leadership Howling Wolves from Hamden for the Boys Class S championship. The girls will return to the court at 1:00pm for the Girls Class M championship as #1 seeded Bacon Academy Bobcats from Colchester take on #3 seeded Berlin Redcoats.
At 4:30pm, the third session will feature #1 seeded Sacred Heart High School Hearts from Waterbury versus #2 seeded Bloomfield Warhawks for the Boys Class M championship. The Boys Class L championship will be decided at 6:30pm as the Torrington Raiders face off with the Bulkeley Bulldogs from Hartford. The final game of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference championships will tip-off at 8:30pm as the Windsor Warriors take on the Crosby Bulldogs from Waterbury for the Boy’s Class LL championship.
Tickets will be broken down by three sessions; each session’s admission is $10.00. Tickets are currently on sale at the Mohegan Sun Box Office and through Ticketmaster.
