Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den, the 400-seat venue which has offered free nightly entertainment for guests 21 and over since its opening in 1996 and has helped catapult the careers of some of the biggest names in music including Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Zac Brown Band, has announced the creation and first inductees of The Wolf Den Hall Of Fame. This exclusive club recognizes a distinct class of performers who have made a significant contribution to the continued success of Mohegan Sun.
The first induction class includes Little Anthony & The Imperials (performing in the Wolf Den on January 8th), John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band (performing in the Wolf Den on February 5th), Jay Black (performing in the Wolf Den on March 11th), Eddie Money (performing in the Wolf Den on April 30th) and America (performing in the Wolf Den on May 28th).
As some of our most celebrated performers, these artists have shown loyalty to fans at Mohegan Sun and have helped shape the Wolf Den into the successful venue it is today. Their longevity and dedication has made Mohegan Sun a world-class entertainment destination, and we would like to congratulate them for their accomplishments.
The induction ceremonies will take place on the Wolf Den stage prior to the start of each performance.

Live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, March 11th at 8:00pm
Elton John and his band will appear in concert at Mohegan Sun Arena performing their “Greatest Hits Live” concert, featuring number one chart hits and classic album tracks from throughout Elton’s incredible five-decade career.
Public on-sale will begin Friday, January 7th at 10:00am.
Elton John’s band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums and Kim Bullard on keyboards. One of the most successful live acts on the road today, Elton and his band put on the kind of concert you will never forget: the entire audience standing, dancing and singing along with much-loved classic songs such as “Your Song,” “Daniel,” “Rocket Man,” “Bennie and the Jets” and many more including selections from The UNION, Elton and Leon Russell’s critically acclaimed album on Decca Records available now. The album features a variety of musical genres from R&B, Soul, Gospel, Pop and Rock. Rolling Stone Magazine gave The UNION 5 stars. Elvis Presley In Concert is an astounding production that reunites former Elvis band mates live on stage with a state-of-the-art video-projected Elvis.

The show’s concept is to present an authentic as possible Elvis Presley concert pulled together from a collection of Elvis’ finest concert performances including Elvis, That’s The Way It Is (1970) and Elvis on Tour (1972) which is projected on a large video screen. On stage, a 16-piece orchestra and some of Elvis’ original band mates, including Joe Guercio, Elvis’ orchestra conductor, and members from The Imperials and The TCB Band, will perform live to accompany the video. All music heard in the concert production is performed live except for Elvis’ voice and on either side of the performance screen features live action on the stage.

Boston rockers will perform live in the Arena on March 13th
Kick-off your St. Patrick’s Day celebration early in 2011 with Dropkick Murphys, the Boston-based Irish-Punk outfit best known for the hit single “I’m Shipping Up To Boston,” which was featured in Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning film, The Departed. They will be performing live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, March 13th at 7:00pm with special guest Against Me!.

Comedian will perform live in the Arena on January 29th
Comedian/Actor Aziz Ansari, from the NBC show Parks and Recreation, is bringing his hilarious stand-up act to Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, January 29th at 8:00pm.

Ansari released his debut CD/DVD entitled Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening in January on Comedy Central Records with an accompanying one hour special on the network. He recently wrapped production on the feature film 30 Minutes or Less, opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride.
Ansari began his career performing stand-up comedy in New York while attending New York University in the summer of 2001. He frequently performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, as well as weekly shows such as Invite Them Up. In 2005, Rolling Stone included him in their annual “Hot List” as their choice for the “Hot Stand-up,” and he won the Jury Award for “Best Stand-up” at HBO’s 2006 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. In 2007, he created and starred in the critically acclaimed MTV sketch comedy show Human Giant, which ran for two seasons. This led to acting roles in feature films including Funny People, I Love You, Man and Observe and Report.
