UNCASVILLE, CT (June 3, 2024) – Mohegan Sun is celebrating 27 years of Hot Summer Fun and it’s only getting hotter! The festivities get started on Monday, June 24th, and guests can take advantage of daily Momentum member promotions, exciting special events and 256 live shows in 96 days across the resort. The action runs through August 30th, and includes outdoor tribute acts every Friday night at the new and improved Sun Patio, which now features a brand-new music stage, upgraded fire pits, cozy Adirondack chairs and grassy turf to enjoy lawn games during the festivities.
HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property. When a friend of an existing Momentum member signs up for a new Momentum account any weekday during Hot Summer Fun, both guests will receive $10 in Free Slot Play! Guests must be 21+ to sign up for Momentum.
On More Money Mondays, Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash! Every Monday, one Momentum member will be randomly selected every hour between 10:00am – 7:00pm to win $1,000 cash. That’s 10 winners every Monday! To enter, Momentum members can play their favorite slots, table games or in the Poker Room. All Momentum members must be present to win.

Momentum members who have a need for speed will have the chance to test drive a Tesla at the Summer Valet on Saturday, July 17th and Sunday, July 18th. Guests can experience a 15-minute test drive of a Tesla Model 3 or a Tesla Model Y from 10:00am – 6:00pm. A Tesla representative will also be on-hand to discuss each model in detail. This event is exclusively for Momentum members. Those who are interested in participating are asked to reserve a time slot in advance. All participants will be required to fill out a demonstration drive agreement form, and provide a valid driver’s license along with their Momentum card.

BBQ lovers rejoice! Mohegan Sun’s annual Sun BBQ Fest returns to wrap up Hot Summer Fun on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Guests can gather in the Winter Parking Lot to taste the best in barbecue, cold beer and handcrafted cocktails, all while enjoying live entertainment. Full plate vending will be provided from nationally acclaimed BBQ teams. Sample bites will also be available through the “People’s Choice Competition”, and guests are also welcome to participate in the annual Wing & Rib competition. Over $25,000 in prize money will be given out over the course of two days! Saturday’s festivities will also conclude with a special fireworks show. Ticket and vendor information are forthcoming.

WHAT: Mohegan Sun’s award-winning digital TV series “Back of House” returns tonight at 8:00pm with new episodes filmed both before and after the onset of COVID-19.

IN DETAIL: After receiving top international hospitality awards in 2019, Mohegan Sun launches season four of the hit series, “Back of House” tonight at 8:00pm on BackofHouse.tv. Season four follows the professional lives of 10 Mohegan Sun employees, providing viewers with an in-depth glimpse at the world of resort hospitality and operations. This season is partially filmed pre-pandemic, and goes behind the scenes to uncover the challenges and rewards of hosting New Year’s Eve 2020, as well as holiday galas and the building of a towering gingerbread house. After the onset of COVID-19, the series shows the diligent steps and hard work taken by leadership and team members to close and then safely reopen one of the largest integrated entertainment resorts in the United States after its three-month closure due to the pandemic.
