Mohegan Sun is set to host a vibrant Pride Weekend, inviting guests to celebrate community, bold expression and lively entertainment. A two-day celebration is in store, where guests can enjoy a series of exciting events, live performances, and social gatherings – including the return of Pride on the Sun Patio on Saturday, June 6th, featuring music by Sister Funk, drag entertainment and bites from the food trucks Reel Catch and Hungry Lion. Taking place from 2:00pm – 6:00pm on Saturday, June 6th, Pride on the Sun Patio is an annual outdoor celebration featuring food trucks, local vendors, drink specials at the Sun Patio Bar and much more.
The full schedule for Pride on the Sun Patio includes drag performances beginning at 2:30pm, hosted by Mia E. Z’Lay and featuring talented entertainers Ambrosia Black, Dom Parinyon, Enigma Jones, Midnight, and Felicity V. Lay. Then, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Sister Funk, takes the stage. This all-female band won Mohegan Sun’s 2025 Locals Live competition in the Wolf Den, and they’re known for playing hits across pop and alternative rock.
A Weekend of Celebrations
Beyond the Sun Patio, Mohegan Sun will host several additional events across its venues, ensuring a full weekend of Pride celebrations:
- Summer Orlando’s Drag Bingo: Friday, June 5th, at 10:00pm at Comix Roadhouse. A fun-filled evening of Pride-inspired bingo is planned at Comix Roadhouse, with more details available HERE.
- Lipstick, Lashes & Lies: Saturday, June 6th, at 10:00pm at Comix Roadhouse. Mia E. Z’Lay will present a variety drag show with a rotating cast, offering comedic sets, live singers, celebrity impersonations, dancing, and audience participation.
- Pride @ Night: Saturday, June 6th, from 9:00pm to 2:00am at Avalon Nightclub. Guests cankeep the party going with beats by DJ Castaneda’s all inside one of the most legendary nightclub scenes in the northeast. Also, guests who show their Pride on the Sun Patio wristband will receive free cover charge to Pride @ Night inside Avalon Nightclub. More info HERE.
Mohegan Sun’s Pride Weekend, taking place Friday, June 5th, and Saturday, June 6th, across Comix Roadhouse, the Sun Patio, and Avalon Nightclub, is an invitation for guests to come together, celebrate and socialize. The WNBA’s Connecticut Sun will also host their Pride Night on Friday, June 26th where inclusion, community and the celebration of the LGBTQ+ community take center stage. Auction Features Sold-Out Docket and Family Activities Wednesday-Saturday
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 19, 2017) – The 2nd Annual Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction returns this week, June 21-24, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions® will once again offer a full schedule of events, including a variety of family festivities and the automobilia auction starting Wednesday during Preview Day. The excitement continues Thursday through Saturday with the collector car auction, featuring a sold-out docket for the second year in a row.
The event kicks off Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. with Preview Day, where fans can see the cars up close before they cross the auction block and enjoy watching the bidding action beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the arena during the automobilia auction. Exhibitors will be on-site with activities and a variety of automotive and lifestyle products, including fine art, jewelry, furniture and more. A fan favorite – the Ford and Chevrolet Ride ’N Drives and Dodge Thrill Rides – returns to Mohegan Sun and provides fans an opportunity to test-drive the latest offerings from the automakers or take a heart-stopping ride around a closed track with a professional driver.
The event ramps up Thursday, Friday and Saturday with gates opening at 8:00 a.m., the automobilia auction starting at 10:00 a.m. and the collector car auction beginning at 1:00 p.m. each day. Recently filling up the sold-out docket are a very rare 1972 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (Lot #672.1), an original 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback (Lot #709) and two beautiful Jaguar XKE Series I (Lot #678/Lot #681) vehicles.

Beginning at 7:00pm and going through 11:00pm on Friday, April 1st and taking place inside the Uncas Ballroom, Sun Whiskey Fest promises to be a special festival for Whiskey lovers. Guests will be able to try new and old favorites of whiskey, scotch, bourbon and rye. Craft batch cocktails for those looking for something a little different will be available as well. Experts from many of the distilleries will be on hand to discuss their style of whiskey and other libations!
Delicious small plates will also be featured from some of the region’s top restaurants and The Shiny Lapel Trio with provide entertainment for the evening.
Tickets to this event are $75.00 and go on sale Friday, January 29th at 10:00am. The event runs from 8:00pm – 11:00pm on April 1st and includes unlimited tastings and food samples and a cigar for your enjoyment.
